While I agree that the graphics are quite impressive, there are far more important things to good gameplay than graphics.  The game is very realistic, but perhaps too much so.  Features like injuries and illnesses simply don't make for fun gameplay.

Alas, real life has several major drawbacks that you gloss over.  One is the inability to choose your starting class, race, or stats at character creation.  Another is the rather severe grind, taking literally decades for even a hard-core player to reach the end-game.

A related problem is that of travel time.  You'll often have to spend ten minutes or more simply trying to get from where you are to where you want to be.  In some cases, this can stretch to literally hours of purely trying to travel from one place to another.

Finally, it's not at all alt-friendly, and that's really the deal breaker.  You only get one character and that's it.  You're not even allowed to get a second character by creating another account, which is a much harsher policy than most games have.

• You do get to choose your class. In fact, you can rechoose your class at any point in time. Case in point, I have been a fabricator for screened in porches, a janitor, an electronics technician, and am currently back in college as a computer science major at the age of 38.
• You say its a grind to reach end game.........dude, I don't ever WANT to reach end game.
• Travel time? Slow down, enjoy the journey. Take it from someone who's idea of vaction is taking a month off, packing a backpack, and walking (no real destination). I've wound up some interesting places and met a lot of interesting people, seen a lot of interesting things this way.
• Who needs alts for this game, there is so much to do, so many places to go, so many things to see, that you will never accomplish 1% of it all. Add to that, it all changes every day.

Real life.......... naaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it'll never catch on .

Meh, i like this games "discovery system" of new areas....and the way that you can pump stats into an area of your skills to travel, while other classes will end upp mostly only being able to go to near places (HAHA NUBS!!!)

But yea....the noobs beg too much and it gets pretty bad for us higher leveled players who grind for our loot... "MONIEZ Pl0X iT3mZ Pl0x" ....it gets pretty disturbing if you ask me

Be sure to grind up your skill in weapon handeling, youll need it in the long run!

FYI: There ARE money hacks, nick-named "drugs" by some, but as in any game be prepared to suffer the consequences from admins and/or GMs its pretty risky, but some very cunning, sly indivisuals are willing to do it

Also a complete lack of expansions, the entire game world is just one big ball, they haven't added any new areas since that failed moon questing area that no-one even bothers going to anymore.

I'm just pissed that they changed IRL from a low fantasy game, into some bad pre-apocolyptic format, with slight sci-fi undertones. It's like NGE all over again! I want my refund!!! Not to mention the Item Mall sucks, literally.

From what I heard, the expansion is going to be a major bummer. Unless of course I get to be a Paladin, then I'll be as happy as can be!

I play myself playing WoW in real life when I play world of world of warcraft.

This is my list of the best of the best and where they sit in the MMO world:

Best Gameplay is a split between Everquest 2 and World of Warcraft  - both of these games show us so much greatness

Best Content = Everquest 2 = there's so much in here it's amazing|, it really pulls me in the game.

Best Graphics = Lord of the Rings Online - Turbine did it right here , this game has so much eye candy, i think i almost filed up a half a gig of screen shots.

Best Raid and Instance = World of Warcraft -  No one so far has come close to getting this right and WOW just knows what to do and excels at this.

Best F2P = Runes of Magic - I would call it a WOW clone , this can be good or could be bad.. with over 700k members, this free game has got is going on and it content is making it stand out really well.

Best at creating a long learning curve EVE Online - after weeks of playing and asking for help in Rookie Chat you'll get into the game and then after you start realizing you have to wait 7 days for that Engineering upgrade you find yourself taking up heavy reading or playing one of the listed games in this list.

Best original idea for combat style Age of Conan - A new hybrid of fighting, I really enjoyed how this was done.

You could try reading the thread, or at least the original post, before you reply.

Plus real life is bugged as hell, I went into the opposite factions territory and was trying to do some sweet ganks, when I was charged by three of them, I kept screaming out devine shield to be immune to their damage and the stupid thing wouldnt come up,and they just ended up kicking my ass.

Crafting is a real bear in this game.

I epic fail'd at my "Bam, kick it up a notch!" whlie skilling up on chicken. As a penalty I was struck with a severe movement penalty for hours, called 'chocolate rain'.
