The latest feature on the WAR Herald looks at the merits of the Squig Herder career in Warhammer Online.

The Squig Herder is an often-overlooked career, which is not surprising considering their size! In greenskin society, authority and pecking order is largely proportional to one's body weight. Lacking the strength of their Orc cousins and the brainz of their Shaman brethren, Squig Herders are forced to rely on their innate cunning and sneakiness to get by.

Squig Herders are master tricksters and opportunists; any one situation can be approached in many different—and often crazy— ways! Zpikkol of Gorthor explains:

"I chose the Squig Herder for two main reasons; it’s very funny, and as one of most dynamic characters in the game, it can adapt to many different situations."

I also chose squg herder for the same reasons but, without your squig you dead fast.  It is one of the weakest if not the weakest even at max level so choose carefully.  They are fun to play and thats what the game should be about anyway.

I stopped playing WAR many months ago but I loved my squiggy. Think my favorite moment in that game was doing three full pacifier runs in Stonetroll Crossing in Squig Armor. Goodie goods never saw that asswhip coming XD

Out of curiosity Shreddi, how is the class doing? Main issue we seemed to have around when I quit (rl reasons,  not class issues) was with pets : Having to go deep into a spec to keep a pet levelled with you as the pets only levelled naturally every other level, and some general AI/pathing issues.

Resubbing to LoTRO tomorrow, but my heart yearns to have skills ike 'Farty Squig' on a hotbar again :P

Im sorry Farrox,  I should have mentioned I havnt really played in a few months either.   Last time I played it was the same.  Focus was more on the new classes out.   NCsoft shut down TR so gave me 3 m onths of City of Heroes/Villians.  I went back to that game after stopping 3 years ago and it blew me away.   The new big content patch came out 2 days ago and there is not one mmo out that has the feature.  Architech where you design and play others constructed missions.  I gotta tell you the tools they give you to make these missions are incredible.  If ya want you could whip one up in minutes or create your own custom creatures, story, everything.    Anyway sorry to get off on that tangent.  I just cant believe how good that game is compared to all the others I tried in the 3 years away.   Still a huge population on freedom server.  Take care and again sorry to get crazy bout another game.  Just woke up and cant focus.

I have only played a squiggy to high teens, so keep that in mind.

It is a lot of fun, but I still feel it under performs compared to other classes.  Mostly due to the responsivness issues with the cast delay on actions.
