I just started playing this game a few nights ago and I am blown away by how good it is. If you are not a fan of old school MMOs like EQ, Asheron's Call, DAoC, etc. you will probably be instantly turned off by the graphics, but this independent gaming company has really developed a whopper of a game. You get to buy your own farm and castle, which allows you access to a bunch of personal quests and npcs that give you certain items and perks. You also get to open up your own shop that players have access to. You can hire a mercenary to help you on quests, and there is of course crafting and so forth. Really fun game with a great high fantasy feel. I suggest going to the Fasariaworld website, which is just fasariaworld.com to check it out and see what you think. Game just launched a few days ago and I would welcome some questing buddies. |

Few post wonders recommending a game is almost always a major warning flag. One that costs significant money to try is even a bigger flag. Ten to one they devs are offering benes to those that promote their game on websites such as this. Even more reason to avoid this one. |

I took it upon myself to post this because the game just released, the population is low, and I would like more people to chat and quest with in the game. I was in the closed beta so I got to test it for free, but to be honest I do agree they need to have a trial because I'm not sure I would have joined without trying either for 40 bucks. Having played the game already I knew it was worth it but for people just reading these boards it may be risky. I will say that it is very fun but it won't be for everyone, more for an old school mmo niche imo. |

The game has the most horrible advetising policy imaginable. They are paying cash to have people use their banner as signature in discussion boards. And probably the same system can be used to get payment just for any referral link leading to their website. EDIT: Please all forum users, don't support companies who are trying to spam our forums with adds without paying the forum's owners. Boycott this game.

I am lead developer for Fasaria World. Margulis, thank you for this link. 1. Margulis is a new member to our game. Obviously he is very excited about letting people know about Fasaria World. If you notice, he uses no signature and I do not believe he posted any links. I appreciate the gesture on his part as his intentions was only pure. 2. Our browser based game received success because members told other people about it on their own and was very excited when they did. When players become fans of our games, they go out of their way to let people know about it so we created a reward system. Not for our gain but their own. It was our way of showing appreciation, and giving back to those who made us what we are but as you can see if someone likes a game, they will promote it, reward or not. If people are ofended for being rewarded for showing support, we have no problem with not giving anything back to them or you. It was to benifit our community even if they put the banner in their signature on our site, they would have received commission. I have no problem with not rewarding anyone for their faithful acts if they honestly refuse to be. Also, having a signature is not spam, spaming is spam. Using our signature, or even creating your own shows support and we believed it deserved to be rewarded. Again, we have no problem with not rewarding at all. 3. Normally I would not post in an instance like this but I believe it was honorable for a member of ours to take strides like this just out of excitement. He posted links on our discussion board so I checked them out. I say these things mainly for his defense as I could only imagine the shock of an unwelcome response from other gamers when he only posted with pure and honorable intent. He receives no rewards what so ever for this. In a perfect world, I would reward every last member who shows this type of honorable support. Our company came a long way because of thousands of faithful fans and we owe them at least a thank you. 4. As for our defense, we are having a trial version released exclusive for this site in about a week. We are a modest company not expecting millions of players, we are building a loyal and solid base of players one at a time. We are looking to build a nice and rewarding community. Our game is loved by our members amazingly so although we are not a popular company. This game is for those looking for what we have to offer so we are not trying or expecting to get everybody on board. We want our fans faithful and having a good time. We aren't trying to push our product out of desperation for sales. We are doing pretty well although we are a small company. We are looking for players that honestly want this game and all the players seem to be enjoying themselves. We will have specials occasionally, but for the most part, our offers are very basic. 5. Our game is a paid game, a one time payment model. It's more RPG, PVE based. 6. I just wanted to clear a few things up as I'm very familiar with how quickly an uncalculated topic can go ill. Understand that this member was only showing honest support. I would appreciate it if this topic is kept on a positive note or even ignored if your intent is simply to speak ill. 7. If you have any questions, you can ask. If I do not reply, do not be offended, we are usually very busy although I like engaging in discussions about various games even besides our own. I hadn't had the time to discuss outside of our game as much as I would like since our game's release. I'll try to check in and answer any questions or concerns.

You are trying to shamelessly get your advertisements on the forums without paying to their owners/admins the fees they'd deserve, and you will get people who have no interest in playing the game to use your banners as signatures purely for profit. |

1. If you read my reply, you should understand our intent. In fact we respect your point of view and feedback and removed that program. It was meant to benefit players more than us and we would like our players to feel comfortable to speak well of our games without being under attack as such. In fact your comments have been helpful to us. Some of the biggest skeptics became some of our greatest supporters so we do our best to listen to everyone. Our members would place our banners on their signatures without compensation and this topic is evidence that our players are prepared to go out of their way to let people know about our game. We removed the program so that players will have a voice without discrimination or prejudice. 2. I would hope that from this point on that if a member uses one of our banners for a signature or posts a positive review; he/she would not be under attack as they would do so strictly out of support and not profit. I hope that this removes any "so called suspicion or accusation." I honestly do wish there was a way to reward our players for their continued support as we benefit so much from it. Thanks for the feedback though. |

Isnt this a normal method to advertise things on the internet? I remember lenghty threads about autoclicker and such things years ago. |

Well it's a touchy area and must be addressed with an open mind. 1. Potential abuse and discrimination for those with honest intent is why we decided to remove the system today. There is no real effective way to reward faithful members without scrutiny and judgment. I would prefer for every kind word spoken about our game to be received without bias judgment. I believe in the long run, it is better this way. Seeing one of our players take the effort to tell people about our game without gaining any reward only for his intentions and ours to be in question shows that system can not be effective, this is why it was removed. |

It looks like the kind of game I would enjoy playing.
I hope that trial you mentioned, exclusive to MMORPG?, is available soon.
I will definitely give a try. |

It is one of the"normal" methods. However, referral links and ads are forbidden by this sites RoC. Having a sig or link that goes straight to a website for the game is fine. Having a sig that benefits the person posting the sig/link with any sort of bonus when others click that sig or link is not. Some sites and forums allow it. This site does not.

Sounds interesting...great graphics mean nothing if the gameplay is bad. I look forward to trying this game on the trial. Why isn't this game listed in the game list on MMORPG? |

As much as I'd like to yell at the original poster for this sort of post, the usual excuses just don't fit here. For starters, there's the join date: more than three months before the game released. That doesn't sound like the sort of viral marketing account that a company might make. It certainly contrasts with, say, the Atlantica forums here. Then there's the posting history. Sure, there aren't many posts. But look at what the posts are about: The Chronicles of Spellborn, Wizard101, Dark Age of Camelot, and Runes of Magic. That doesn't look like the posting history of a developer trying to hype Fasaria. There's no link given, so it's not a "click on my link to help me win" type of post. From the game's web site, it doesn't even look like that type of game. One can't even say, take it to the Fasaria forum section, as there isn't one. Rather, the original post is what it claims to be: a random player excited about a new game. ----- As for the game itself, the obvious problem is that there's basically no information about it. The game site doesn't seem to have even a basic manual, and you have to dig a bit to find even a fairly generic looking list of features. For example, one of the main features is, "A unique Combat, Karma and Labor system you can level up through various tasks. This adds a lot of variety to the overall experience and also provides Medals that leads to great rewards." Apart from the bad grammar, just calling something unique and leaving it at that tells you pretty much nothing about a game. Wikipedia is often a good source of basic information on a game. That turns up nothing on Fasaria whatsoever. Various game sites seem to be aware that Fasaria exists and released on March 27, but know basically nothing about it. It's one thing to ask $40 to try a game. It's quite another to ask $40 to even learn what the game is supposed to be about. |

the ZAM overview I linked earlier does give some info about the game - beyond the release date other sites, like curse gaming, provided screenshots too www.curse.com/articles/other-en-news/421985.aspx
I got the brief impression that it was PVE fantasy mmo where you could own land and hire mercs |

Several sites have exactly that description, but that's awfully thin as an explanation of the game that is supposed to convince someone to pay $40. |
