Well. I have actually had the same thoughts. I have just entered T4 and I there's a lot of chapters I havn't completed, heck most I havn't even gotten to basic hehe. But then I thought that you can actually go back when you want later and complete it, I mean complete the influence levels and tome unlocks, and do the quests you missed. Except in the orvr areas, bawk bawk. So I guess if you want to really "do it all" on a character, focus on the orvr things first. Then you can always go back and do the tome unlocks, chapters and quests when you wish :P |

I put a suggestion in for this in game once... some sort of lvl lock that would allow you to stop leveling for a while to allow people to enjoy their favorite tiers. |

If you want to fit as much "meat" into your leveling as possible, skip Scenarios altogether. The XP rate is just way too fast, If you try to keep your Realm Rank even with your Character Rank doing scenarios, you'll have little room left to do other things. I do think Scenario XP should be cut by at least 25%, or at least allow players to buy an RR tactic that cuts your scenario XP by 25%. If your goal is to complete all PvE quests, PQ rewards and ORvR influence as you level, it's just not going to work. For each to be a viable leveling route, obviously you won't be able to max out all three and not outlevel content. You can always go back and do quests (I see level 40s a couple times a week doing quests in earlier zones). You can't go back and do the ORvR influence grind, so if it's important for you to max those out, make that your first priority. I'm glad there is so much varied content that you could level three times over. Many MMORPGs launch with too little content. However, I WOULD support an optional Tactic that would allow people to decide to cut their XP rate if they chose to level slower. Either with in scenarios specifically, or in general. Not by so much that the Tiers become dominated with characters with maxed out gear ruining things for others, but by enough to give people who wish it a little more time to work on the various influence and quest grinds if they chose to do so. I almost quit the game because leveling was taking too long.
Leveling is not why I play mmos. Leveling to me is just an insanely long installer mini-game. Leveling is only in most MMOs to get that extra $15 before players realize there is nothing to do in a game.
I leveled my character on SWG in 2 days. Played the game for the next 3 years. |

I agree with you with one small exception. If the content during leveling is fun then no problem, but levels are not really needed if the content itself is fun. |

I think it depends on what you do when you play........If you only RVR then I think the leveling curve is not too fast......If only scenarios and quests though it goes alot faster........Also depends on how many characters you like to play....If its just one character (like alot were doing with the choppas and slayers) then 40 is doable in a short time. |

I think people who are actually playing Warhammer have to trust Mythic's judgement here.
If you are the type that feel the leveling is "too fast", you don't have to play Warhammer, yes? Or, just level your own guy slower. There is nothing saying you have to race through the questing. I know it's a new concept for some PvPers to grasp, but you can actually read the quests, lol. It's not as fast as 'clicky-clicky', but you might learn something instead of speeding to the next level. Or you can quit if you don't like it. Go back to..* *(just wanted to see what it felt like to be a WAR fanboi for once, hehe) |
