I'm downloaded/installed the game but I'm having trouble getting in. I don't want to make an account until I know everything will run smoothly so I can take full advantage of the 10 day trial. I keep getting this message when I try to launch the game from the patcher:

ERROR: couldn't open: client.exe, possibly write protected
patching failed.

Anyone know what might be going on?

Run as administrator if you are on Vista. Also, If you have a dual core system, set the CPU Affinity to the first core as Neocron wasn't designed with dual core systems in mind.
