Fanbots have been repeating over and over again, ad nauseum, that Darkfall was a game that a bunch of gamers made to play themseleves with their buddies. And that happenes to be exactly true.
Good luck with Vaporfail. |

There are good reasons that most MMO's totally phased out volunteer GM's a long time ago and those that kept them put serious restrictions on what they could do (number one normally being they could not GM on server they played on, then no ability to ban, no ability to create items so forth) Hell there have even been many cases where paid employee's get up to hi·jinks

WoW favors Alliance and hates Horde. Warhammer favors Destruction and hates Order. Darkfall Gms cheat for their clans. LOTRO likes and favors players and hates Creeps. SWG hates Jedis but loves Traders. EQ2 likes Queynos and hates Freeport. FFXI loves Ninjas and hates Paladins. CoH GMs helps Heros but ignores Villians.

Just an observation, but I am starting to see a trend with odd behavior and glitches concerning games that only have 1 server. Take EVE for example, which has actually been out for quite a few years now. It's no secret that CCP has helped certain corporations and alliances in the past with rewards and special treatment. Now you have Darkfall, a similar game, because it's PvP, Sandbox, High Risk and only has 1 server ( at the moment ). Is it because theirs only 1 server that people notice wierd things going on? Is it because theres only 1 server that if GMs or Developers were indeed corrupt, that it would be harder to hide such things? CCP is an indy company as is Aventurine. Somehow, I'm beginning to think Indy companies are bringing a two-faced agenda to the table. One is to make a game that they want and enjoy, which is perfectly fine and expected. Hell, I know if I developed a game, it would be everything I'd want. However, it's looking like CCP and Aventurine are letting loose a dark aura about how games should be run. Should Developers and GMs be allowed to play the game they designed or work for? Is the feeling or desire to cheat too high a risk? If the game was launched with multiple servers, I'd probably say sure, no problem. However, EVE and Darkfall are both single server games and that just spells utter doom for any guaranteed player satisfaction when it comes to honest and unbiased gameplay. EVE has proven that greed corrupts and Darkfall isn't setting any bright new examples with the current player feedback. |

Originally posted by popinjay Fail. Blizzard likes Horde and Hates Alliance. in AV Horde had a Short cut for a long period of time. Blizzard recently added a Orc Statue to their Office. In Vanilla WoW, Horde had OP Shaman class, while Alliance had weak Healbot Paladins that were the 2nd worst tank in the game, and the worst Dps and healer in the game. Horde has the Triangle in AB that gives them access to 4 Areas fast and safely.

we did seige the same night as them and if the server was unstable i am sure it would have affected the 800 or so worse then the 50-100 or so not even close to the battle field. there is somethgin goign on and it is fishy |

The thing is, if this type of activity is going on, who is going to investigate the investigaters of the investigated? DarkFall FAQ - Read then Question with Boldness |

It sounds like they run the game as if it was a private server being run in a persons basement. |

Better late then never : ) But seriously, in a perfect world no MMO would need to patch a game after releaese since everything should be done pre launch as you say. To bad every game continues to evolve long after launch. Even a big company had to patch a lot after launch, Blizzard to.... if anyone remember that? |

I don't know all that much about the T2 scandal but I'm sure Kyleran or someone can elaborate further. Last time a GM favored a corp it was by restoring BoB's name. A petition started, and now they are Kenzo again. Even the T2 scandal was dealt with promptly, and in the aftermath the player run oversight committee was started by CCP allowing actual players to police their own games devs!!! Yes, CCP has had some scandals, but it also manages to save face everytime. Honestly though, EVE players like the scandals. Be honest, don't those icelandic codemonkeys always manage to put a smile on your face with their shennanigans? |

Tasos has them well-trained after treating the MMORPG community like garbage all those years. The treatment by Aventurine is part of the DF hardcore experience at this point. |
