ya know... it's like people read "ffa pvp with full loot" and they lose their minds and rational thinking. 

over 100 prestige classes, that was REALLY setting this game apart for me.

NON-REPETITIVE crafting... you can craft EVERYTHING in game... two more features that didn't make it into the game.

grind grind grind grind grind macro macro macro... hey, i played uo.  playing uo from a decade ago, only now having a 3d client, REALLY isn't something i'm all googoo gahgah for.

that's great that everyone goes on about two things - 1 the shadows and 2 the fps pvp.

this game is an INCREDIBLE letdown, if ONLY for the above parts being missing.   seriously, OVER ONE HUNDRED prestige classes?  and i could mix and match?   UO has what?  four?  ninja, samurai, paladin and necromancer?   is there even a list of these hundred + prestige classes which were cut?  i'm not sure if i could easily come up with a hundred +  off the top of my head.

THAT is something to hype about, and which is still all over the OFFICIAL webpage.

why does tacos (bell?) spend so much time making official announcements on the forums and such?  surely, since no one can update the website (for a second time), they don't have time to be wasting making announcement or providing patchnotes UNTIL AFTER those 100+ prestige classes are back in... do they?

reasonable people will be like, "hey, let me look at a game's website and find out about this game... my friends have told me stuff about the game and i'd like to know about it."

nowhere on the site does it state "hey this website is incredibly outdated, you need to scan thru a bunch of forums to find out what is REALLY in this game".

now, having said that, which is the expectation that a REASONABLE person should have, and it is...

everything you're saying would be "stuff" that an avid fan would do.  i'm  not going to make it a job to follow a game and chase down where i need to go in order to find the REAL information on a game whose website says they are accepting beta applications, nor would a reasonable person.

all this design decision removing stuff is fine.   the fact that they're so incredibly unprofessional that they can't be bothered to update their website twice in 6 months time (oh yes i remember the border and other changes)...

but, stop touting this game as revolutionary.  it's a persistent world fps.

there's no prestige classes.

non-repetitive crafting is not a part of this game.

there's no pets, no hirelings that go "level" with you or go with you and do anything it seems.

EVERYTHING i read on that website that WOULD set this game apart and make it revolutionary, seeming were cut due to design whatevers.

this game is a persistent world fps.  it is NOT the messiah that's been long awaited.  all of the messianic parts WERE CUT OUT.

No it was in game footage to show state of the game..its is the first  released in game video ..people want to know whats in the game ..

If they wanted to anticipate on these questions and answer them all in their first video, they would have to make a video running for about 5 hours.

In announcements,  Q&A's and journals the playerbase got informed on which feature has been put out and why it makes sense ..website isn't updated ..i haven't "touted" about features knowing they not in game -show me where..but you have called the game vapor ..knowing is a valid game that will be released and trying to lie and mislead people who had interest in it..  

Gameplay is very fun ..and the people who the game was for are happy with it..

and then people still called it vapor ..put theories that all is some scripted fake..questioned game features  that was not shown in video ...I am one of those who believe in the work  developers when they small team over the big studios who just want cash  and the game developer executes orders of marketing/salesman..

Mo is a likeable company and their game..but also is Aventurine and DarkFall

When you are generous to MO then you should be generous to DarkFall, if you won't be generous then keep in mind how much you have seen about MO and what would you do because of that lack of that info if it DarkFall and visit their forums ..no different standards please..

Schloob, I appreciate the.....review. I'm not sure what purpose you served by attacking the game. The only problem I have is that, according to your own words, you never figured out how to install it. I would say your problems started before you began playing.
