Here is my review.

My fanboy Darkfall reveiw.

Gameplay: 10/10  Darkfall employs revolutionary game mechanics and skill based systems.  The mobs are super intelligent and never run back and forth in the same spot while you hit them in the back.  Also, they spawn in different places making it super fun to look for them.  Also, the world is absolutely CRAWLING with mobs.  Large fields filled with hundreds of dirrerent types of mobs.  It reminds me of South Karana back from the old EQ days.  In any given area, or "zone" there may be several humanoid mobs, mythical creatures, gnolls, centuars, aviaks, wild animals, all with various risk vs. reward.  While crafters may want to hunt the animals for pelts, those seeking loot and riches will certainly go after humanoids.  The UI is extremely intuitive and easy to use and proves to be a step above those other games like WoW.  There is an intricate balance between PvP, PvE, socializing and crafting in this game and there is always something to do and plenty of friendly people waiting to help.

Graphics: 10/10   The best MMORPG graphics since AoC with life-like clouds of blood when attacking and environmental effects.

Sounds: 10/10   Every whiz and whir of a staff or swing of a scimitar produces a crystal clear and life-like sound effect in THX Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.  It is absolutely spectatcular and compliments the DX 17 graphics very well.

Crafting:  10/10  Easily the best crafting system since Vanguard:SoH set the bar so high.  Crafting is not repetitive and is very profitable.

PvP:  10/10  If you love PvP, this game is for you!  this is the reason AV released this game, in order to show all those WoW bubble-gum players what a real MMORPG should be.  Fights between players are intense and really get the adrenaline pumping.  Large battles involve extremely advanced and in-depth tactics and large sieges take into account player skill, gear, team work and patience.  Advance tactics include casters working together to summon huge spells that effect all enemies on the battlefield.  On a smaller scale, some tactics for winning in PvE involves two people starting on day one, farming exploits until week 2, using all the exploit money to buy armor, weapons and horses, then going to the starter-town goblins and strategically killing people harvesting or killing goblins in their 2nd hour of playing.  If you can't hang with the best stay home.  If you like PvE, save your money because AV doesn't want it.  They are making this game just to cater to the hard-working, fast thinking, extremely skilled, intelligent, handsome, popular, carasmatic and accomplished typical hardcore PvP player.  AV would rather go bankrupt than have one PvE carebear noob taint the strong community.

Community:  10/10  Darkfall's community consists of the most well-spoken and intelligent critics and supporters.  All negative reviews are embraced by supporters and name calling is all but non-existant.  Tasos chooses two people a day to go out and have a beer with and talk about the state of the game and ask for feedback.  No one ever exagerrates about either how good or how bad the game is.

Performance:  10/10  Since day 1 there has only been a few minutes of downtime on each of the servers.  It is extremely easy to forget you are playing a game because movement is so fluid and lifelike.

Overall 10/10

Overall: 10/10  I am tempted to throw away scoring conventions and just give this game a perfect score of a million out of a million but I only havea 10 point scale.  It is definately an 11.

My account is already gone, if you know what I mean.  Maybe when they accept more people in a few months I will buy another one to experience the "magic" again.

A very well articulated, spot on review, that really hits the nail on the head with how Darkfall is in Bizzarro World.

Hmm.. you should throw a 8 and a 9 here and there. Even a 7 or 6 in some minor thing. And a 4 in animations. That is what they do and the result is very convincing review.

Games are a preference, not a fact. You can't "deny" a preference. It's like saying, don't deny that vanila ice cream is the best flavor ever! Either you like it, or you don't, denial is not really a part of the equation.

but... if a place says they have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cherry, butterscotch, and pecan ice creams, and all they actually have is a piece of already-chewed gum on a stick....   a reasonable person would realize that place is full of it.

        Well the game is a 10/10 in every aspect and already has 10 million players on one server......i just dont see how a game can be any better than this one....The best community, the best graphics, the best company running it, everything is beautiful!!!......
