You guys do realize that it only means that the sign-up is just to let the dev's know your interested.  They will be looking at your posts on the forum about whether or not they think you will help with the development of the game.

to some extent, they will not have the man power or time  to be reading everyones posts ;P

I'm wondering how long it will take for'em to review the signups.

AFAIK, mortal online developers have not been talking smack about other games and community's for 8 years.

They did the smart thing for indis to do, shut up and make a game, and do not over hype and be profesional.

Is there a reason why they should look at everyones app?   They just need to find xxxx amount of ppl that fit their criteria, and they feel good about.

Ya, I found it interesting that they didn't ask for a dxdiag.  I hit enter by accident on one of the lines when filling out the form just as habit when I reached the end of my sentence.  It says I already registered with my name or email so I probably butchered my signup.  :(

no but i'm willing to make a bet they are gonna send in some guilds worth of people.... clan beta style like dfo, you get alot of stuff done that way as some stuff will require #s and they can give multiple levels of insight (even though most people use beta as a test of a game not to actually report problems)

I don't think so, but I'm sure if they can get a guild or two in they will. Especially guilds that have been following the game for a long while.

It took a few tries to get in, but I managed to get a sucessful submission as well.. Woo!

I like how they asked you what features you were most interested in, and asked you to prioritize them. Makes more sense to get people interested in specific systems that they know would otherwise be underutilized in beta than to have random picks.

Assuming they do that, of course.

I have to say the counter lived up to my expectations. :)

No disappointment today.

I've signed up too but I wonder why they didn't include the dxdiag upload function, that means people with shitty computers could get a spot ;/

Apparently, they wanted to get the site up and get signups going.  Later in the week they will send out confirmation messages and will possibly allow you to change some of your information as well.  I assume they'll consider asking for system specs too at that time.

Also regarding dxdiag. I couldn't think of a good solution how to handle an file upload in a secure way in the amount of time and space avialble much less the ability to give it good testing with everyone and everything up in the air as the last week has been.
