Got this email from Star Vault!

Star Vault AB: Beta sign-up and in-game Beta production footage
Today at 4pm Swedish time, the sign-up for Beta has been announced and ingame
footage has been released on the Mortal Online web-site
www.mortalonline.com
This means that gamers that are interested in participating in the Beta-phases can sign
up and get registered for Beta testing. The number of Beta-testers is limited and the
selection is made by the Mortal Online team. Depending on the number of gamers that
sign-up the number of game-servers available at launch will also be calculated.
The Beta phases are the final testing-phases prior to launch. They are divided into
separate stages for testing out different aspects of the game, and will end with the Open
Beta. Directly after that the Launch phase will start.
"We are very proud to be able to announce the Beta sign-up today, as it is another
milestone in our development of Mortal Online. We have also been working very hard on
putting together some in-game footage from during the production, call it a trailer if you
like, which will show the gamers around the world some of the features of Mortal Online.
For all gamers that are interested in participating in the Beta-testing, please sign up!" -

Can anyone actually get to the Mortal site?  Now I'm not comparing it yet to Darkfall but if they can't even keep a web site up I'm not too impressed. :(

They probably weren't anticipating so many people going all at once.  Hey anyone have a link to beta sign up or the video?

 How could they not see this coming? They had 48 days to prepare....

Check here if you dont belive me. It´s in swedish, but check the date and the words beta etc ...  

The site could be down because they are pushing out a new version of the site, or it could be overload, but no one knows at the moments, lets not jump to conclusions.

Time is 16:33 in Sweden now, website still down but atleast things are happening....in a way.

Im gonna register for Beta when it comes up.

The site going down is a publicity stunt, they want to make you think so many people want to download this game it crashed there site etc. Its a psy ops on there part, i have to admit it works cause im a little excited

The site has been taken down in preparation for a new white border based implementation.

It's down because of server load. I'm sitting on the MO irc right now. The highres video they posted had issues with the upload however, so I recommend waiting till they fix it.

Can you give me a link to IRC? Been trying to get there forever.

Download on the vid is really slow, its not even 200 mb large but i've been downloading since 16:03, and im at 45% right now.

Henrik (CEO) said to NOT download that movie. The compression got messed when they uploaded it, and they are uploading a better one.

I'll continue to download this one until i can get my hands on the new one, but since the site is very unresponsive that may take awhile ;)

The file isn't actually on the server anymore, which would explain your sudden drop in dowload speed. ;)
