Darkfaller.com is shutting down as of today, calling Darkfail Onlinefail a complete failure. AV is losing players everyday, its only a matter of time until this 10 million dollar game is free to play and cash shop'd. |

It's funny you think somehow Darkfall coulf be a free to play game as an alternative to their current model. Honestly, I doubt they will go free to play at any point, and moreover, I doubt they have the dev capacity to make such a drastic transition. Hell, they don't even know how to accept single subscriptions, which makes microtransactions a complete impossibility. Played (more than a month): SWG, Second Life, Tabula Rasa, Lineage 2, Everquest 2, EvE, MxO, Ryzom. Tried: WoW, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Everquest, WWII Online, Planetside Beta: Lotro, Tabula Rasa, WAR. |

They have too many people begging to buy the game to shutdown so soon. Arent these spots getting ebay'ed anyway....
I never heard of darkfaller.com so who cares probably just another wannabe site. just a roach under mmorpg.com's foot |

The folks at darkfaller.com have failed to get a copy of the game - that does not mean that the game has failed or that they think the game is a failure. They are unable to get a copy. They want to, but they can't, so they are shutting down. "We here at darkfaller.com have deemed Darkfall Online one of the top 10 biggest failures of a launch in game history. We have unfortunately, not been able to bring you any news because we can't get a hold of a copy of the game. We have consistently tried since pre-orders, and guys, we're throwing in the towel. Within the next few weeks, we will be permanently closing down darkfaller.com. Good luck to you all!" |

people have worse probelms then having 20x more people than capactiy. They will get teh later caught up to the demand. the problem is the world, an in particular, gamers are impatient. |

regardless of whatever is said about it, Darkfall still sounds appealing to me and i will watch patiently to see how the game unfolds.
even if its 6months to a year before i play it, i'll be happy. |

While its sad to to see a fansite shutdown. A small website shutting down may not be a big deal to some but, you have to realize that its a symptom of a greater problem. Adventurine needs to get thier collective butts in gear b4 this game does fail. I hope it doesnt for the fans sake. Played : WOW, LOTRO, COH/COV, EQ2, SWG, and WAR. |
