I've played many MMOs and have enough experience with them that I believe I form good opinions regarding them but I don't see how that makes me "full of myself". I have an opinion and I believe it to be a good one based on my experiences and what I like about MMOs. Do you even care about this? It seems you would rather just stir things up.

You did seem a little egotistical there... :P

Anyway, I like it because you hop in and get in the action.  You don't have to worry about a guild, which i do not have time for.  Just look for the warband and start having fun. 

It is definitely RvR focused though.  If you are more of a PvE person, this game is probably not for you.  It is more like RvR with some PvE on the side.  The PQ's were a nice added feature, but I'm just not really into a PvE style game anymore.

The problem with your PS is that you state your opinion is worth a damn, and forgot to mention that its realistically only important to you. So you generalized. And Yes i played Warhammer from launch, stopped not too far back simply because the game was lacking in a few areas. As for the "yeah someone is full of themselves" comment, it was primarily said because you failed to indicate who your opinion was worth a damn to.  I wasnt questioning your experience, merely you giving your opinion as if it was required for others to trust, accept or otherwise believe yours is worthy of anyone to agree with.
 

I wonder why they wait so long before merging the servers, we have been crying about low pop servers for ages and it seems only now they realise that an RvR game needs high pops to work.

This was a problem way back in Nov/Dec last year, I had no option to play RvR on my server and no option to move besides re-rolling and hence i quit.

I think Mythic should ignore what people say, (ala the  "OMG fail" remark made by Mark) and just do what they believe is best for the game. MMO players are fickle and trying to keep them happy at all times is just not possible, so just ignore them(us).

When 77% of all existing servers are closed, calling that no drama is a joke. Yeah 300k isnt bad. But apparently the WAR guys expected 3 millions, haha. Usually when stop playing a newly released game I left it on my harddisc to wait how it would develop, but in WARs case it was instant uninstall. This is where I think simple personal preferences come into play, perhaps in a bigger way than the perceived quality of a game.

In contrast to you, I enjoy attacking keeps and battle objectives because of the way the overall game is. WAR is essentially a strategy game within an MMO. It isn't just the attacking of a keep or BO, it's what those activities mean toward capping a zone and advancing your forces against the enemy. Large units moving, communicating, and fighting across multiple pairings in an attempt to defeat an enemy that is also trying to achieve the same goals. Fun stuff.

PvP is the other X factor. To me, PvP is often more fun and interesting than scripted PvE events or activities, because it really is unpredictable. Who I fight with (in terms of numbers, class mix, experience, gearing, skill, communication abilities, leadership, etc) is almost always different. Similarly, the opponent is also almost always different, in those same terms. In my opinion, that's some of the only perpetually new "content" you'll find in most MMOs.

Is WAR perfect? No. Can they do some things better? Sure. But, with some of the changes already made (i.e. zone domination, lock picking), as well as the proposed ones (adding another ramp in keeps, customizable defenses, additional attacker options), along with the Land of the Dead addition, it appears that WAR is heading in the right direction for an RvR game.

dude, its the same thing over and over..every siege is the same thing, after you have done public quest 12 move up the road and do public quest 13 and every zone looks the exact same. Its far too repeditive.
