I have been in the game 20min after queuing for 2hrs and so far I just want to quit.  How do you send a tell and how do you sit?  Anyone know?  I will rpobably log off for awhile since there are no mobs in the game and it is completely counterintuitive system.  Wow I thought AoC was bad.  Anyways, let me know if you know how to sit and/or send a tell.

I hate FFXI, but some of my friends adore it, does that make it "a big package of fail?"

I don't play WoW (played for a month when it first came out), it has good graphics, looks clean, has easy loot and combat, etc...  there is a reason this game has 1 server and WoW has 100....

To sit, you need to open up your skill list (rightclick the screen to switch actionmode on/off) then in your skill list, in the general section, find the skill called REST, drag it onto your hotbar. Then you you use R to sheathe your weapon (assuming you have one unsheathed), and then press the hotbutton to make Rest your active skill, then left click to use it. (your avatar will then sit down and enter rest mode)

it sounds a bit complicated for something as simple as sitting down... but eventually the buttonclicking becomes a habit and you wont think much about it when you do it. 

you send a tell with /tell name surname blahblah (ie. /tell Random Gankster Hello, can i have my stuff back please?)

another thing you might like to know is the ' /bindstone recall ' (it casts a recall, no cooldown, but a 1-2 minute cast time, dont know how long it is... but it sure as heck feels like 5 minutes when you are in hostile territory ;) )

and /annotation_add Bank (it will add a mapnote with the text Bank , on your current location.)

WoW has had 5 years to amass enough players to have that many servers, it didnt have very many at launch. Darkfall has barely been out for two weeks and probably half the player base isnt even in it yet, not to mention all the players it will gain over the years. Im not into DF but I can respect it for what it is, dont hold DF up to all the of the major games on the market, it was never meant to be one of those.

You sit by dragging the rest ability from your skills page to your hotbar.

I haven't played the game.. nor do i have a favorable view of its development or launch, but I mean to use the opinion of someone who couldn't get out of the blocks because he didn't play long enough to figure out the mechanics of the game is questionable.  I hope this is a bait thread..if so I took the bait.  I can understand not liking the 2 hr que wait....but if OP has formed an opinion of the game based on 20 mins of play citing his inability to instantly grasp the controls and master the interface.. then he probably shouldn't play games period.  All games have some form of a learning curve.

I just exited... terrible gfx and worse gameplay.  I bought Two Worlds when it came out and actually threw it away after 15 minutes of playing...  This isn't much better.  Actually it isn't better.  The gfx are terrible and clunky, looting is a 10 step process.  If you attack near another person you hitm them and they kill you.  The chat sucks, etc.  Wow it is bad but I knew what to expect and just wanted to say I was part of the trainwreck that was Darkfall.  See you all in WoW.  J/k.. Darkfall is a joke.  It is barely playable and has half the gfx of WoW.. you are kidding yourself to justify your 5 years of waiting for it to come out.  And btw WoW had at least 25 servers at launch and several splits/adds.

 Darkfall isnt that bad of a game to be honest... its the community that makes the game stink :p

But it does need a much more intuitive interface and a better help/menu/readme/manual. Cause right now, there are too many people in there who are too accustomed to having everything handed to them moments after logging in... and you have to realise that DF is not like that... and probably never will be... it is afterall just a wannabe bastard child of Ultima Online and Asherons Call :)

It requires a fair bit of experimentation and testing to figure out the ins and outs of the interface and the chat-commands... You pay to beta this game... but at least you get to try something a little different than all the wow-clones with different skins, that are being pumped out at the moment :)

WoW's launch was completely horrid.

Darkfall isn't a joke, its launch however was.

Just because you don't like the game or it had a bad launch doesn't mean the game is horrid. Hell the client is stable as hell, the only thing ruining the experience is the servers

So how do you cancel?  I'm done with this one.
