The folks at Ryzom have posted the patch notes for the game's 1.4 patch which goes live today.

PATCH NOTE 1.4.0

• We reworked a lot of the Silan missions. They are now easier to understand and to play. We invite you to create a new character, play them and tell us what you think! The goal is of course to create a better experience for new players.
• Very great news for all crafters; you can now customize your crafted items with a unique text. Use your imagination to put some additional information about the item or create a nice message for the buyer, or even just to sign it...
• You'll be happy to see that your team members should now be back on the map.
• We fixed lot of bad texts in English, French and German thanks to your posts on the forum and with the help of testers. If you see any more then please continue to post in the threads :)

shit i would have gone back a long time ago had i known that.  ryzom is pretty fun

Still no mention of a fresh server launch. Guess they want the game to die.

Definitely the best game that I don't have time to play :(

If it were free, I'd play in the summer, but I can't justify $15/month when that works out to about $5/hr of playtime. [Plus I'd probably get addicted and pay for 6 months and actually play for 3 - 60hrs total]

It's been free for several months ! And it isn't 15$ a month anymore, they reduced their subscribtion fee.

Just Ignore Redwoodsap, we explained many a time what happened to the Cho server after a "fresh launch" : it was as dead as the other servers and got merged to Arispotle. No point in doing that again : just a waste of money on hosting fees.
