Seems that stability was good overall. Some people had issues but overall the game seemed to handle it quite well. Many people still need to tweak sound/video options to get good preformance in big battles like that. Seems that battlespikes and siege hammers need tweaking, or AV doesnt intended people to take cities until they have cannons/warhulks/ships. I was on my way down to the fight when it was finishing up :(.

I have read/talked to alot of people who said this was the best experience they have ever had in an MMO......in the first month of release no less.

A highlight that someone in my clan told me about was a group of mounted guys charging into some foot that were in a double line formation. He said the mounted troops started knocking the foot all around, but then started dieing to archers. He was making everyone in vent, who were not at the fight, jealous.

I can't help but feel I'm missing out :(

Hah, i was involved indirectly with this battle (border skirmishes). Fresh out of infantry training (The Black Company) and straight into battle.

Seriosuly epic shit..i've never seen anything like it. WTF did they bring the servers down?

That is what makes my heart beaten faster..omg..just within the first 2 weeks of release and already such big batles ..

 I was directly invovled the whole time, from the initial hour of holding back waves of naked Aesir to the epic, climatic, attempt at the stone.

I have been in some large city defences and attacks from beta to today. I have also played a great deal of MMO's from the past. This was without a doubt, the most significant  moment of my gaming time. It was literally insane, attacks from all ends, chaos and destruction. Some FPS/Lag issues here and there but with my relatively new rig I had few problems.

This is also just the beginning. The introduction of city defences (which we have the basics of but haven't completed) and heavy siege gear/high end magic will make sieges down the road make this one look small, but as of now it was huge without doubt.

Right on that is what I'm interested... I hope to see a 600+ battle soon :P

Not very impressive when this has been touted as a PvP game for countless years. What else do you think people would immediately do first? Admire the beautiful environmental graphics and craft while drinking tea and making light conversation?

dude... this could have been the biggest fight ever, it could have set the servers on fire and ended up burning down all of greece and you would say the same thing

Hmm.. Amount of people involved is really impressive. Realy impressive thing is that servers survived :). i hope to see battles few months later or so, with siege equipment, greater spells and skills... Cause now it is just counter-strike MMORPG...

Why is everyone acting like this is some profound, impressive shit when PlanetSide had this going on all the time NEARLY SIX YEARS AGO.  May. 2003. 

PlanetSide lost something like 95% of all players in the first 18 months though.  I only see it being worse for DarkFall because who wants to bother actually grinding to get the shit for these battles.  People would rather just fight all the time with never-ending free equipment.

 Never seen anything like it? You must  have not played Planetside back in 2003 to 2005 at its peak. DF is not doing anything new in the large scale real time combat in MMO's, Planetside already been there and done that. Even in Planetside those battles over and over again become dull, the same will happen to DF.

am I the only person on this forum who thinks that this game looks simply horrible ?   Animations on all th evideos are horrible, UI graphics is from 10 years ago, etc.. etc..
