Minsc (Baldur's Gate/Baldur's Gate 2) I use skooma so that I can work harder and longer and make more money so I can buy more skooma. I don't see a problem. |

it'd have to be Lord British from Ultima, or the old guy from Runescape that robbed the bank, lol dont ask why. |

In any game, ever? Kerghan from Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. However, since this forum is supposed to be relevant to MMOs, I'll say Ethurien, the Erudite in EverQuest II that gives the quest 'The Tie That Binds'. I don't know why, but I'll never forget the dialogue that opens the quest. If only all (or most) spells were obtained this way. |

I liked Minsc too. Since this is a MMO board though there hasn't been a ton of NPC's that stick out in my mind but here is a couple I do remember that I thought was cool.
Sarnaks and dwarves in EQ ( well dwarves in any MMO) because I loved killing them. Im not sure why I liked killing sarnaks but Im sure everyone can relate to killing dwarves!! Legion in DAOC: Big hunk of twisted muscle that absorded players to heal himself and the mobs leading up to him pretty cool also.
Weird/funny remorable NPC : Curt Schilling in EQ2. The character sorta fit in but still felt all out of place. He used a bat even and if I remember correctly he had some logos on his armor that didn't fit in. Plus he is talking about helping with I think it was ALDS that really did not fit into a fantasy MMO. It just always struck me as odd. I did have fun killing him alot though :) Im sure I can think of others later on.

Morte edit. here is a few quotes to add flavor. "Women were the reason I became a monk - and, ah, the reason I switched back... " "Nordom: Attention; Morte. I have a question. Do you have a destiny? A purpose? "Nameless One: Can you speak? I need more vespene gas. |

have a special fondness for Guild Wars prophecies campaign npc - Prince Rurik
this guy was so full of himself and wouldnt shutup while you were traveling with him in game missions, but his heart was in the right place - and I did feel for him when he met tragic fate(s)
special mention also for Lady Cynn - mage brat |

Lord British. Playing the Avatar, a kind of "The Kings First Knight", always was cool. Also Kreia from KOTOR was impressive, and Morte from Planescape.
