It's not a lie. They just never got around to changing it, which on the website side of things, is lazy. However, they have done several interviews and posted a ton of information on their forum - not to mention all of the player reviews, so I don't think there is anyone who doesn't know exactly what is in the game and what isn't. Being too lazy to go back and update the site hardly makes the game a "scam" and that is why people are telling you that you are a troll. You're exaggerating minor issues and trying to spin them into something they are not.

Since they are charging money for their product, their laziness can potentially lead to problems. A potential customer who has never heard of the game before, will more than likely base his purchasing decision on the features listed on the official site. Since a lot of those features do not reflect the current features in the game, that's pretty much false advertisement. Hypothetically speaking, try to use the laziness excuse in a court of law. "I'm sorry, your honor, we meant to update our web site to reflect the current state of our product but we were too lazy and busy with other things." Winning defense strategy right there.

The game itself does more damage than any website are viral smear campaign can do. Sorry guys mmo's like this crap wont sticka round long enough to be fixed. Im thinking SoE is looking at Darkfall right now just waiting. Alot of people will play it if its on their station pass with VG and EQ. Other than station pass its doubtfull this game will stay alive long enough for any crappy website to matter. |

LOL, i think even SoE would not touch this mess of a game.. and that is something. lord it would take them forever to rework the crap graphic to get it to match the graphic engine of a modern mmo.. much less all the bad coding.. na SoE does not even know this game is on the chart.. lord even here most f2p games rate higher now that they have launched and all can see the mess.. |

What do you do first, pay critical attention to your newly released MMORPG which is in dire need of it? Or waste a person or two on updating a fully functional website with the correct info yet it's simply buried within the forums. I'm sorry my friend but people, time and money do not simply grow abundantly on the sparkling gumdrop trees of some alternate reality in which you think we exist. |

Originally posted by Aviyur Its holding them accountable to the population of about 10 people that actually read post or take notice on this thread on a public forum which 50% of the time is full of whiny crap anyway. If DF is a scam, and it is indeed a "serious matter and offense" He would be better collecting his information and building a case for a lawsuit to sue AV. Why the fuck post it here? Its merely to antagonize and annoy the fanboys. And many people sure as fuck don't care if the website says "beta" and they're playing the game.
weird, how not long ago, their website had quite a bit of updates applied to it. it sure seems that the words on this thread enraged you for some reason.
i know this is HARD to believe -- there's a LOT of people who haven't heard anything about darkfall until just very recently. there's a LOT of people that don't bother searching the internet constantly and a friend tells them about a game, or they just happen upon something that points them towards a website. shocking, i know, that not everyone has heard of darkfall. so, maybe, just maybe, that information is for the other 5 billion people on the planet, and not the 5,000 people playing the game? maybe? could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please? |

I'm sorry but "good answer, but WRONG" does not suffice as a counter arguement to my own. What it does do however is give me more reason to weight less any post I encounter written by you. I've given you a few facts; we know they have limited resources, we know that the game has recently come out and currently requires MUCH attention which those resources ARE being invested into. If you're not going to provide details on your view you may as well keep your mouth shut (hypothetically speaking). |

I can tell you with 100% confidence that there are NO uninformed customers buying Darkfall right now. Considering the game is only available for purchase in 10-minute windows where you have to hit refresh and battle time-outs, I'd say only people who know a good deal about the game are trying to buy it. Also, my point is that being too lazy to update the website does not make the game a "scam" and they are not purposefully "lying" about the game. I'd even be willing to bet that if someone bought the game based on what they read on the features list, they'd be satisfied because most of it is in the game.

Wow, I think I hit a nerve there. Insecure, are you? Worried that someone doesn't like your game and have to validate your choice? You are like the guy dating that fat girl because no one else will have you, then itching for a fight when other people doesn't think she is hot. |

Just wow, thats all I can say. What is wrong with you fanboy's? They are a business, their website promotes their product. You can't advertise things that you can't provide, and then say, "Well, we didn't have time to change it". Dont any of you work, do you not have a clue how a business is supposed to be run? This is just unprofessional, and make their company look like a shady operation. |
