Yea, good stuff, I think I read some where that most of the writing process was done, they were finalizing and fine tuning the story lines. Those interviews where months ago already, can’t remember where the hell I saw that at. Any way, it'll be done when it's done people!! I'm about as excited as you can get from a SW fanboy so have patience young padawan.

But this MMO is gonna be huge, filled with a massive amount of content and polished. After all its Bioware. I still stand by my guess on a May 2010 launch. So Beta period for a massive game like this would be like 10-12 months.......
Yeah even WAR had a pretty long beta and it won't have near the same amount of content KOTOR will. Though I don't think itll launch in as late at 2010 imo it won't be out any later then march. Also they might try to launch it around the same time as the new star wars series. Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time. If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day. AMD 4800 2.4ghz-3GB RAM 533mhz-EVGA 9500GT 512mb-320gb HD |

While your most likely right, you didn't need to be this harsh. The story would have been one of the first things they worked on. Story is what Bioware is known for and they have been working on it since day 1. Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time. WAR had a long beta because they started beta too early and because of their "focused" beta testing they had to retest and retest things after putting in other things that copletely changed gameplay. So I really wouldn't use WAR as a standard. Also the hero engine and datasteam(whatever its called :P) tech they are using makes development faster and reduces the beta time since they can change and update in realtime and monitor things so close they can tell what color mouse you are using. As for the new Star Wars live action series...Have they even started production on it? I only saw the expected release as 2009 which doesn't give me the impression they have solid release plans let alone are planning with Bioware/EA on a simulaneous launch. |

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/starwarstheoldrepublic/news.html?sid=6172473 from a game spot article in 2007. "BioWare technical director Bill Dalton revealed that the MMORPG is currently slated to ship in 2009. " The game was playable at that time (June 2007) I think (hope) a June 2009 beta could be a possibility.

I guess we can see just how linear it's going to be. With a heavy story driven PVE game it can't be anything but linear. |

I think I agree. There are too many new MMO's that are trying to do WAY too many things at once, be the first to do X feature, etc, and it just usually ends up failing. I'd be happy with just a SOLID mmo right now. |

Not necessarily. I would consider LotRO to be a story driven PvE game and it doesn't seem all that linear to me. |

This will be a great single player game, focused on pve, looking at the videos, they will be instancing the game big time so thier will not be problems with 20 people trying to complete the same mission. When are people going to realize this isnt a mmo, its a single player RPG with some pvp. You will never see more that 20-50 people in one spot. High graphics, and from what Ive seen so far they will be instancing the high trafic areas just like they did in AOC, AOC isnt a massive multiplayer and this is definitly never going to be a massive multiplayer. |

I would also like to know, how did you get all this inside information about the specifics of this game, when Bioware hasn't said or really shown much of anything. You really are showing the beginning signs of a troll, with the High graphics statement. One of the few bits of information we do have is that this game will be able to be ran on most systems, and not have over the top realistic graphics. They also stated that this mmo will have everthing that all others have with the added factor of deep story. So go and do some research before making bold statements and personal predictions. |

I explored every square inch of KOTOR and talked to every NPC looking for quests, listened to the dialog the first time through and just generally took my time, and I still beat the game in about 25 hours. As long as the game is good, I'll still get my money's worth. I'm not really sure what you base any of those assumptions on, though. I'll wait until I either see for myself or read what beta testers are saying before I conclude it will be an AoCish tiny linear instanced world, unless Bioware confirms that they are absolutely making this a console port. I have to LOL at the "high graphics" comment. I haven't seen anything to make me think it will even be LotRO level graphics. |

*screams like a teenage girl at a Justin Timberlake concert* I cannot wait to try this game... I am going to be right up there in line at launch and plan to try everything to get a beta key. |

And your info comes from where? Bioware has stated this game will be an MMORPG, will be story driven focusing on personal choice in your own story and WILL HAVE PvP. NO where does it say it will be a PvE focused game Bioware picked this specific time period in star wars history for the sole reason of mayjor conflict in the galaxy.... to what? PVP but I guess you might have missed that in your vast amount of research(watching the two videos and making assumptions). Dont make blanket statements with little to no info backing it up. |

Amen brother. If Bioware let's me down I would be stunned. They are just too good, too experienced, and too confident in their gaming style to put out crappy product. |
