EU Karak Eight Peaks here,
Actually population seems to increase. 2 weeks ago scenarios and oRvR died after 9.30/10pm during weekdays
Last 2 days I've been up playing scenarios one after another up to 1.30am
So I don't think it's dying...Looks healthy enough to continue existing |

This game isn't dying, it's not even close. stop making dumb speculations. seriously.
you must be playing on maybe a Low/Low server. |

My server (Volkmar) has a queue to get in right now. That's a dying game? |

You do realize DAOC underwent a number of graphic updates over the year and in fact the game engine WAR is using is the evolution from the one used in DAOC right? I don't think they look all that different actually, even today. And its been said before, gamplay is whats important, not graphics.

I'll ignore Patch 1.2 and the fact that I'm still having fun and I'll be another statistic in the OP's assumption. Yes! Warhammer is not dying a life, it's dying a death! What a plot twist, who woulda thunk that you die a DEATH??? Damn OP is smart! |

No offense to people who like Warhammer, but I hope the game dies so we might get DAoC Origins (far superior MMO in many opinions) :) |

Aelx pretty much made it obvious in his first post that he's both 1) never played DAoC and 2) obviously attempting to troll and a pathetic attempt at that. DAoC for it's time was on par if not pushing the graphical bar (Remember, this was 2001, which you seem obssessed with repeating). I love opinionated children that feel as though their opinion is valid when having never even sampled the very thing they're putting down. Ahh the WoW generation, it's almost comedic at times until you realize that they're more often than not serious which it then becomes down right pathetic. |

When i play this game. Every 10 min on avarage, somthing pops up that I can think of, that would have improved the game. Its not a bad game. but i think it will take 4 years for them to polish it to the pointe to where id spend 165$ a year to play it. All Mmo's have always been like that. And thats not going to change. they can't make a mmo so good it will keep my attention for more then a few months. My standards are to high.

One thing is sure : Daoc delivered a mountain to players in 2001, War delivered a bland piece of mud in 2008. **************************** |

daoc was wide open, war is pretty linear. I think the best you can hope for here is endgame x-packs beyond rvr lakes |

Sorry... but after you've been driving around in a Lexus... you cant go back to taking buses My standards are also high |

European Karak Eight Peaks server, two full warbands caping bo and keep, then went on to doing dungeons. Its 4 am and i just quit while one warband is still going on. OP is an obvious troll. This game is very active. People who play it know this for fact. |

en·vis·age Listen to the pronunciation of envisage 1 : to view or regard in a certain way <envisages the slum as a hotbed of crime> 2 : to have a mental picture of especially in advance of realization <envisages an entirely new system of education>
To end the confusion, lol, sheesh!

I've just started back up, on Vortex which is a med/med usually. I'm having a blast and the pop seems solid. I'm in t2 atm, but at like 1:30am, even had near full wb against similar numbers. Heck, last night, scenarios were popping up for me crazy even near midnight, and did a little orvr too when a call was made. I've also noticed a lot of people on my server, like me that have just started or recently came back. Also, in this next month, you'll see an increase in population with slayer and choppa coming out. They're one of the reasons I've come back, and glad I came back even before they're available because I am having fun, hehe. It is weird. I loved the game in the closed beta. Played it for quite a while, but once it went live, I was bored of it quickly. Now, I'm loving it again. |

Yep game dying never mind that nightly Queue I have to wait through on PT Never mind the MMO report just called WAR WoWs younger hotter, sluttier sister and went on to say the game was wildly popular becasue it was so darn fun to play...that is the first time they have ever said anything positive about a game that wasn't WoW. Number 2 download on D2D Right now Number 3 download on Steam Number 2 MMO curently at EBgames sales wise.
Yeah ....dying...... |

i think the big problem i find with warhammer is that i really only want to play for a month now and again . it lacks that something that would keep me interested for longer stays and makes me want to invest time building up a character and making long term contacts in the game world . the problem is these less popular games stick to the basic buisness model ( 8.99 uk pounds a month ) . i think play nc are very wise to offer the 15 day time cards . i find the same thing with city of heroes but 15 days now and then is enough for me . warhammer could offer far more competative monthly fee and maybe get more subs . i dont think warhammer will die anytime soon . these mmos can limp on with a lot less subs that warhmmers gettting at the moment . the truth is it does pvp better than wow at moment ( which really is a mess ) but when i play warhammer i feel like i may as well be playing team fortess or something . |

yes war if really addicting to play and is really one of the best pvp mmo's out there. The problem it has is it leaves players wanting to take a break after a month or two then come back. there isn't really anything that makes you wanna play continuously. |

no question the game lacks a wide variety content but most new MMO's don't...Even daoc didn't have much outside of the base world/frontiers. Pieces are in place though, right decisions needs to keep being made. |
