That's alright. I am too. LOVE this game (hit 66 this morning on my main, and 38 on one alt, 29 on another alt)

Wish i could try it. But because Funcom lied and tryed to hide the fact that the game wasnt ready when it released.I will never buy a funcom product because of this. Personally I refuse to do business with a company like that.
I dont care how good or how many subs the game gets. Honesty is the best policy and they should have shown a little more of it at release

This from a person who has Vanguard in their signature? I mean really, did you just think of how that looks?

SOE is really considered to be in the same boat, especially with their recent changes of RMT on ALL Vanguard servers and the "No cash shop in any EQ"...yet they have cash shops.

To each their own I guess.

The way I see it is the person who lied is gone, and that makes for a more open discussion on the game and it's issues, thus a step toward making this a great game.

Sometimes holding grudges just does not pay off...especially if you can handle what happened with Vanguard...lol.

Exactly how I feel about aventurine, soe and funcon. If your ready to lie ot the gamers to make cash then I dont want to play your games.

I think FC and Craig with team certainly have stepped up to the plate and acrewed many kudos/integrity points (if there is such a thing). They have nearly picked up every issue that the playerbase commented on, and have improved it so damn much. They have stuck one community guy in charge of every class (Advocates), speaking directly to the devs... and they are basically falling over themselves to make us players happy. The funcom guys are finally on the MMOers side, so it's nothing but sad that you want to apply this weird punishment morality to the guys that now just happen to be standing up for you.

I agree, if FC did not turn around to show the commitment they currently are, we could have questioned the use of supporting them further on AoC, as the game probably never would have turned into the funball it now is. BUT when FC allocated over 120 developers the last 6 months, to consistently and relentlessly grind on AoC code, I think we should applaude them. They did not let us down, they never intended to, it's just that FuFu happens sometimes and that was probably more Eidos fault that FC's ... Well at least it was not the devs and Craigs fault. So think it over a bit guys, don't shoot yourself in the foot, eager as you are to stand up for us MMOers.

I have heard a lot of crap about how Vanguard got hyped up and launched incomplete with poor performance support, but that doesn't mean a thing to me now, as it is something in the past. I wouldn't mind trying out Vanguard now if I weren't already occupied with AoC.

Seeing people beeing so butthurt over getting served hype and believing it and expect the launch of an MMO to be flawless witness a younger unreflective and spoilt crowd of mmo gamers that want a game to be as polished and filled with content as WoW the moment it goes live. Gaming companies hype up their products... See through the bullshit and get over it. It's so laughable to see all the 'lied to' and 'angry' gamers whine about everything company A to company Z did to upset them.

when vanguard launched , Sigil had open beta and announced they're out of money and this is how the game is launching.Also they dropped there NDA for open beta which lasted about 1 month before launch. You cant get much more honest than that and for me it was good enough. I bought the game and have had a sub ever sence.
Now funcom could have done the same thing , but they didnt. Like I said honesty is always the best policy.

Is that why they had to take all the employees of Sigil out to the parking lot and fire them there? I assume everyone had first hand knowledge of McQuaids drug use, and how the money disappeared because of it?

That is real honesty.

And this is not just Vanguard, it is the company who owns it now. As stated by SOE, we will never install a cash shop in EQ products, yet there it is now. Also, blatant lying.

Comparing Funcom to Sigil and SOE is like comparing a Florida Orange to a California Orange. Different areas, same stuff.

Guess sigil could have done what Funcom did and hid behind a selective open beta , left there NDA up till the day the game launched . than maybe they wouldnt have had to fire those employees. I guess if you where in charge of a multi million dallor mmo and you had to fire some people, would you do it well they still had access to thier computers.

Soe has never done any wrong to me only game ive played of thiers is vanguard and in the two years ive played they have given me over 6 months of free playtime to other Soe titles. no I didnt play them but I appreciated the jesture. no other game company has ever given me free time.

Who care's about a cash shop in vanguard. people have been paying real money for gold and items and characters for years in every game ive played. I dont pay real money for items in a game and no one in my guild will either so dosent affect me and if it does all just cancel my account.

If you want to make Funcom look bad, compare it to Bioware or Blizzard.  Comparing Funcom to Sigil is...well...  like comparing Florida Apples to California apples (lol).    Vanguards launch was much worse than AOC, and firing people in the parking lot was just rude.

Or, as has been noted on many news sites, the reason the employees were let go was due to McQuaid burning through the cash for drugs. That is a much better approach!

Funcom has given me free time. AO  was given to me and they replaced time for the downtime in AoC. But, really, the reason SOE gives away so much time is to try and get people to play their games with such small populations. They can continue to give me free time in SWG, but I will never play it. So, I do not understand how free time makes any difference in how a company acts?

Correct. But, that is not the point. The point is they clearly stated NO CASH SHOPS...yet went back on their word. How is this so different than Funcom? It isn't

No it does not, you are correct there. But it also does not make SOE or Vanguard any better either. The difference is Funcom is attempting to make good on what they messed up with...SOE gives the Vanguard players...Station servers.

comparing fcom with sigil .. yes this works ... both released a unplayable beta without content lol. Aradune Mithara (Brad McQuaid) and his buddys are now rich man's because they just selled and no one ever heard something about em.

i wait now for fcom's selling announcement. i bet $OE will buy it immediately.
