Hello Everyone!

I am bored and would like to do a poll on the percent of people here on the Off-Topic Forums who are religious and the percent who are atheist. Personally I am an Atheist. But I'm not the asshole kind of atheist. Please participate. And if you could explain why you are religious.

Do we really need another of these religion posts? I would think that we have had plenty by now...

Is there a category for convinced that there is something else to the world we have yet to be able to define or experience, but also that it does not have anything to do with God or other deities as currently defined? I guess you could say its somewhere between atheism and agnosticism.

Atheism isn't a religion.

If God is all powerful and infinate.  Then if you allow for all things being possible.  That leaves room for the possibility that all religions are right.

Thelemite. I found it the most convincing concept to follow an active spiritual path, and not just do some passive adoration.

Before you bother Wiki, simply said: Thelema means that every person has a True Will (or True Self), and everyones task is to find and follow this True Will alone. The idea is, if every person follows only his/her True Will, the cosmos would be in harmony.

Just curious, does that mean mass murder types were off their path?  Or were they following their core self?

I've not heard of this one, so I am trying to understand where bad things come into the explanation of it all.

as for Atheism, it's as much a religion as catholics are.  I love how Atheists get all offended over this one, lol.

Religion is man made garbage, for what it's worth. (ALL of THEM)

Relationship with a living God, now THAT's worth checking out.

Back on the topic. I'm that agnostic, but come from a family of catholics.  I dont really like to think about religion becuase no one has any hard evidence that there is truth behind faith. No one really really know untill the time comes, and even then you can come back and tell someone living...

It's awful because people can start riots with these threads. They can all the sudden decide to compare religeons and that gets very cruel and you should see some things that happen here.

It's awful because people can start riots with these threads. They can all the sudden decide to compare religeons and that gets very cruel and you should see some things that happen here.

But I've already won the thread by determining that any religion that can accuratly describe God and perfectly worship him would require more mass than the universe has to accuratly write those teachings.

Of course I would have lost the thread if your religion states that your God(s) aren't infinite or an aspect  of infinite.  Granted at that point I could also argue that they aren't God(s) and probably not even a god(lowercase).

RetroMonster Hvc is absolutely right. A Good discussion always depends on the people discussing. But back to the topic I'm an Atheist, and if you ask me why? it's because there has been no real proof of any type of "God(s)" if you will. I can't remember who said it i think it was Neuton but he stated "God disguises himself through coincidences" i have pondered that for some time now. And if "God" does love us so much why hide from us? thats just my 2 cents.
