hey i know this might sound lame to some of you, but Ive been looking at this game link realms for a bit of time and ive been trying to get into the beta. I cant get a spot and was wondering if anyone has a beta account on link realms there not using, and dont plan to use any time soon, and wouldnt mind letting me use it just to see what the game is like. if you do have one, PM me, i'd be so thankful! maybe we can work out a deal or something.

I'm actually in the beta, and I have to say... this game is just down right fun.  The gameplay is just awsome.  The dungeons are masterful.  It really brings back the feel of an epic dungeon crawl.  Not that instance shit WoW did, but a real dungeon crawl again.

I'll explain briefly two dungeon crawls i was a part of.

Vine Forest - You have to lead these bee swarm to fly traps, which then eat the bees, after they eat enough they grow into a sprout.  Then these troll guys decide to try to eat the fruit, and you have to defend it until it is ripe enough to eat.  Eating it gives you a quick +stats.

I forget the name of this dungeon but... You start in a graveyard killing ghosts, kill enough it starts to rain and zombies start spawning.  You need to kill the zombies quick enough so that lightning destroys all the grave stones, once that is done lightning hits the forest and opens a path.  You and your team then need to kill these brain type things, that if you don't squash them quick enough they attach to skeletons and make a much harder npc to kill.  After some more fights through the forest you come to two crypts, where you defile the graves by getting a pestilence and throwing up on the bones(really funny to see).  I'm not going to ruin the ending for everyone though, but suffice it to say, dungeons in this game are extremely unique and badass.

This is the first game since old school UO that really brought me that sandbox feel again.  I advise everyone to check out the official forums, it's a great time.

Yea im having the same exact problem with getting in! Its been like 6 days now. Im getting a little concerned that after all this time that their not able to go full beta! And ahaha whats up with their 18 and older only thing, they got to know there is no way thats going to work.

If your a old-school UO fan, that enjoyed its entire skill/stat based leveling system and enjoy a truely sandbox game, where you the player can add realms (your own lands you create with a editor) and make a true impact on the game itself. Link realms is probablly what you have been looking for. Graphics are quite amazing for 2d game by a indie company.

Rumor has it, when the tutorial is finished they are going to be having open beta soon after. Try checking on the hours around 5:00-7:00 pm central time. Thats when I got in.. right at 6:01pm central. There seems to be a trend of it always opening up on the hour, for minutes at a time.

In reality it may not really work, but if they have mature content then they need to cover their butts with a disclaimer.

According to their general forums they just had a server upgrade, also no tutorial system yet.  The gameplay is... simply put... incredible.  You'd never suspect it was made by an indie team.  For a game in beta... it feels like it has allready been polished.  It's the one beta I've been in that I havent said "Well... when it releases it will be okay."  It's awsome now.  I just can't wait until it's feature complete.

i heard that soon current beta testers will be able to invite other people into beta.

So i would be very happy if someone can send me an invite then :P

Yeah, add me to a list of getting an invite when they start the friend invite system this week!

Looking at the videos, the animations look truely fantastic for a game of this type!! Really excited about trying this one out.

This game looks great, needs a new name though : ( something a little more catchy. Link Realms sounds like one of the reaallly bad f2p korean MMOs that have no heart behind them.

Yeah I know it makes sense but Im sure they could think of 100 catchier names that also make sense ha.

Link Realms is probably one of the best new games of its genre. The staff are very attentive, and helpful. It has a large amount of skills, items, and the ability to add your personal content in a way that isnt back breaking.

I really want to play this game too. Does anyone know when they will have open beta?

if someone has a spare buddy beta key - I will be forever in depth if you could send one for me =) The game looks like what I have been waiting for since EA took over UO.

Does anyone have a Creation Code they could spare..?!
