I got so much |
I was trying to learn bit more about this game , but everything i found so far makes me think FE will be very similar to AO in many areas , but naturally much improved. This in my oppinion sounds like fantastic thing , if its true.
What do you (people who followed FE) think ?

Do NOT even go there. If you start that now, the hype will sink FE so far into the ground it'll never be able to claw it's way back out upon launch....regardless if it might be an SWG or AO 2.0. |

I would say it is FE 1.0 I do not it would justify to compare this game to anything else. True it might have elements with you can see in other games, however I do not believe the game is anything like them. It is a unique game with a very extencive crafting system (where crafting is in real-time, so it even goes on when your offline, some thing might take up to 3 days to craft, like cars) The combat system is a system where you have to actualy aim. After this however the damage will be calculater by using your stats and that of the armour/weapon. However skill will play a importend role in this game. Level will play a vital role aswell, however not as vital as in many games. You have to spend Ability Points on your stats. You can get these from leveling and other activities. Duo to this it might be possible that someone of level 20 has less AP then someone of level 15. You do not have set clases, but a structure where you can invest APs in any skill you like. This give you a lot of room to make your "perfect charater". There are both melee weapons and ranged and sneaking (and it skills) are not about pressing a button and you invisible, but actualy about sneaking about and around someone. This skill will only make you make less sound and not show up on the radar. So someone who become good at this and has a lot of points in melee, could do a lot of damage when he can get close without being seen. |

You know what they say, how originality is dead, but FE is going to be something special no doubt, so far it's seeming like a grimmer version of Tabula rasa ( a game I loved while it lasted *RIP*)
Definitely interested in the crafting and the open world, i just hope it's not as convoluted as AO :p |

AO not THAT complicated. It's quite easy actually unless you want to twink. Then it become a calculus game, and helluva expensive. The economy is whacked over there. Anyway, the ao people, me included, wanted TR to be the new AO. Sadly it wasn't, and the game in itself was quite bad. Havent checked anything about this game though, but gonna do that. AO2 is only a dream in the AO vets heads anyway. |

FE is a witch's brew. It's like they looked at all the loved but dead games, considered why people loved them, and then tried to incorporate some of those elements into Fallen Earth. You'll probably get an aftertaste of lots of games, but the flavor is Fallen Earth. And they tossed a lot of new secret ingredients in the brew as well. Like Tabasco sauce and some corprus hunks. |

I have a strong suspicion that a bit of Pre-CU flavor will be involved. |

How is AO now a days? I havnt played it since the first or second year it was released. Others came out and I switched to them. Same with City of Heroes/Villians but Tabula Rasa shut down giving me 3 months free City of Heroes/Villians. I reinstalled the game and am now completely addicted. After trying every other mmo released since COH release I come back to find how ahead of its time that game was/is. Today a huge patch is being released revolutionizing the mmo. Cant wait to play when servers are back up. Also cant believe how populated the servers are. Even the servers that show low population have tons of players on it. wondering if AO kept up on updates/upgrades and is worth another try. Thanks. This post is intentionally written not to make any sense what so ever. Thank You Very Much. |

Everything I've read about the game so far has been awesome. No other MMO has come close to the amount of skill customization as AO. Hopefully this one will. |

How the hell did you get AO to compare with FE? You guys dont even bother placing thought into forums anymore..Anarch only compared to Fe is like comparing UT to tetris..The only MMO in existence that can be a fitting comaprison toFE is Neocron online. 1. It has RPG elements, 2. Its live actinon FPS game, 3. Its MMO aka its not the sad ass 20 player per server thing its actualy open world. getting a headace just reading this stuff I swear..

I don't think Fallen Earth has much in common with any of the current MMO titles. It's not as Sci-Fi as AO, nor does it have the massive skill trees of that game. Fallen Earth is a Post-Apocalyptic game, which doesn't exist in the MMO world at this point (at least not in the Fallout-like sense of FE). It also has the first-person shooter component, and the only MMOs I can think of that shared that commonality are Planetside and Tabula Rasa. And one of those games is shut down, while the other probably should be. So, hopefully FE can deliver where others have not been able to.
