What is this PC Zone mag? I have never heard of it. They must be a bunch of non factors. I for one am patiently waiting my turn. I can do that because I was privileged to have reviewed Darkfall in beta. Maybe I'll do a review of their review of Darkfall. After all I have a million subscribers right here at mmorpg. How many does this PC Zone mag have? BTW most beta testers havn't gotten into release. That's nearly a server waiting to fill up. Anyhow, if they are fair to their subscribers then the review will be much better then you are implying it will be. Actually I will be willing to bet Darkfall gets a front page mention. At least in word if not picture. I also think the review will be good for the most part. Good in the sense of Darkfall is unlike other mmo's......... and it is. It's also not for everybody. Give it a shot. But don't go alone. It is a dangerous place to go it alone. That is reserved for those of my caliber. Which apparently you are not. |

Oh darn, maybe I should stop playing now since it's going to fail so bad because of a few bad reviews. I'm definitely going to let other people's opinions about Darkfall affect how much fun I have playing it! Thanks for this heads up, Original Poster. If it wasn't for you, I'd still be using my preorder now, trying to increase my skills. Now I know the game is not even worth playing, since it's going to get bad reviews.

Even if they make a review on their website, what difference will it truly make? ask youself. but comeon lets use some common sence. I can easly say the sister of my wife who works for IGN happens to do reviews there and has got into the beta and even the launch of the game and soon will do a review. see anyone can do it. you are, but you cannot judge how good the game is if you have not played it. they could say that they need to improve their infastructure and get better at keeping the servers open, but they cannot say the game sucks. |

After any game has a rocky release, people like to run with the "well, WoW had a horrible release" which makes me wonder if any of these people actually played at the release.. WoW's problem was over-loaded servers for the first month.. BUT after the first week (the servers were UP more then down) they opened new servers.. If you moved from one of the "release" servers to one of the new servers, you did not experience the lag, and server crashes that plagued the release servers. Also, Blizzard never shut down their support/ forums, and there was even a support number to call for billing issues. Not to mention, compensated gametime was given to the players.. The servers were not down for days/weeks, sure, the lag was pretty bad at times, but there were servers that didn't suffer nearly as much as others. There were even servers with barely any queue time.. |

Despite getting off to a shaky start, the servers are running pretty well now and I've been thoroughly enjoying my time ingame. Clans are grabbing up cities, the arms race for supremacy is underway... yup this is a sandbox world. If people don't find Darkfall polished or fluffed up enough, then maybe they should go play another full loot, seamless world, sandbox MMO. Oh wait, that game doesn't exist? Maybe that's why DF doesn't need to advertise ;) The game is great, any true PvPer will see that. |

Oh please dark dont even start. NOBODY expected to see what happened the 1st 2 days and a half (remember its later over there) Even from you we heard the phrase " the game is ready for launch " yada yada. We got it from Tasos himself that they game was more than ready, it was in better conditions than other mmos. Now imagine all that stuff being thrown in our faces. Fans saying how this game was going to have the most flawless launch in mmo history and so on. This is a Pime example why fanboys are better off just Keeping tight lips on exaggerations and lies. Yes its ok to defend the game you like because its features appeal you. But thats what you defend, the sole reason why the you like the game because of x and y feature. No one cannot deny that But the darn moment you come babbling how this game will be the best game of them all, How other games suck compared to it. how this game will launch flawlessly and how perfect it is when you can play it. Your doping more damage than good. learn from him seriously. NO one expected a messed up launch save the haters. You will notice i play middle ground here, I do have my interests in the game but i do hate when from both sides they spread crap like the op does and lies that you do. Get it right and instead of spewing 1liners defend your favorite pastime correctly. And btw where the heck did you go, someone who been spamming these froums all these days, bad start and you go into hiding just to come back now to do the same.

Managed to play the game today without problems.. It was lots of fun! Couldn't care less about what some magazine has to say about it.. When it works it's the best MMO I have played in years! |

gameinformer has the most acuerate review team imo they also spend the longest to review things (it took like 3 months for Warhammer) the only thing they do i dont like is give WoW like 9.5/10 or a 9.75/10 every time.
they gave AoC around a 7 Warhammer 8 mines of moria 8.5 and Wotlk 9.5
if i dont get it by the time they review it (if they review it) i will listen to them only |

OMG, Please GOD NO !!! Umm wait a minute who... PC Zone, phew I though it was a magazine people actually read.
An honest review of the game isn't going to do much for the fate of DarkFall. The game has had a horrible launch and was wracked with bugs, but it is a game design to serve the PvP niche that has been ignored by most MMOs for the last 8 years. Even with the bugs and extreme downtime it is a great game, the only game available where PvP matters and where PvP hurts and there are thousands of gamers htting F5 every few minutes for the last week just waiting to pay money to play.
The only folks that will be driven away by a review are the WoW kids that got confused and thought that DarkFall was another McDonald's themepark MMO, and honestly it is probably for the best because I don't think they could handle getting stabbed in the back and looted while trying to complete the first " Kill 4 Goblins quest".
