12 hours should not be a big deal to all these clans claiming to be legit. After all these clans plan to play all the time anyways since they are so hardcore...

I'm not sure a wipe is warranted at this point. Most likely, we're seeing the tip of the iceberg here, as far as exploits go. If Aventurine wipes now I can see the game getting locked in a cycle of: open the server up, wait a few days for the newest round of exploits, fix bugs, wipe, open the server up....

I think the best thing to do is continue letting the cheaters find as many bugs as possible during this pay-to-play-beta, then after a few months, wipe the server ONE TIME AND ONLY ONE TIME, at which point I may buy the game (providing the game gets good reviews).

I really hope no wipe and exploit still around for me to abuse.

No one wants to play for months only to have their shit deleted. At least if they wipe and guilds STILL find exploits, all the players will think it has been fixed and legit anyways. So there is nothing wrong with a wipe. Let it happen it was only about 12 hours of play anyways.

Well enjoy your exploited / unbalanced server because as soon as new ones open up all the non cheating guilds/player will flock to it and leave you to rot in your own shit.

I guess you never played some real "Hardcore PvP" game.

Otherwise, you would know that a good deal of the "Hardcore PvP" crowd is just a bunch of unskilled nolifers that love MMORPGs because in those games they gain unfair advantage by exploiting and by playing 8 hours a day, because without an unfair advantage they would get their asses raped 24/7.

These guys will exploit anything they can in the game to get some edge over the other players.

Add the huge holes in the structure of this game and you're in for a hell of a ride.

Yeah, never expect players to do the right thing.

This is one of the biggest design problems of our generation.

How to make a game that people cant debug and start industrializing whatever is most effective.

Having no ridiculously obvious exploits is the least they should have done.

"Darkfall could launch today!"

"We have thousands of bots testing the servers!"

But I'm sure we can put a huge fanboi spin on the AI problem:

"The programming for the AI is so advanced that the servers running the AI system cannot handle it!"

Sound good to anybody else?  Course, that means the AI is completely wrong, because it wasn't designed OR coded correctly.
Like the website, which is still showing the same feature list as 2005... it's just too hard to update those things man, websites are HARD!
Course, we could always politely ask the Developers, or suggest to them how to fix things on the Official Forums... the best place for information, as the fanbois like to say...
...or the IRC server which is on Stratics and "Moderated" so nobody can speak...

Question for the people who argue against a server rollback.  Do you disagree with rollbacks in general or do you think in this case players who fought bugged mobs didn't gain enough of an advantage to be worth a rollback? 

Consider the following scenarios

scenario 1 - a bug exists at game start that allows people to sell their starter weapon for 1000g
scenario 2 - a bug exists that allows exploitation of mob ai resulting in players gaining 10,000g
scenario 3 - a bug exists that allows item duplication, resulting in players gaining 100,000g
scenario 4 - a bug exist that allows gold duplication, resulting in players gaining 1,000,000g+

Are any of them rollback worthy?
