Alright since the server has been down more than up and the syncing issues fubared EVERYTHING, lets discuss the current hot topic - exploiting.

Now see there is no exploiting in Darkfall, people are merely playing the game which is given to them. If you find something you can kill, you better do it.

I have spent a large amount of time exploring and have seen many of those big guilds in action, so it's time to spill the beans to level the playing field for all.

The synching issues have rendered most mobs impossible, many were able to find the endless amount of loitering goblins outside the ork starter towns and farmed them for hours. Many who played beta understood why these mobs were bugged.

It's the water, any mobs which spawn in knee deep water are typically bugged. Find a swamp area and go to town on bugged mobs. Find dungeons, most of the mobs are not completely desynched and there are tons of pathing exploiting to kill black knights. I have even had luck training desynched mobs into shallow water where they get stuck and cannot move.

Heres another good one where I saw many of the "big guilds" exploiting, don't worry I will not call out names but yes I am the one that looted your corpses which got killed by black knights on the way out. Thanks for couple thousand gold and multiple sets of banded armor!

There is a dungeon here 6'40 E and 18'14, it is outside the orc area yet because it is a special dungeon I have seen people come from all over the land to come to this place.

Now there are multiple broken spawns which do fight back but are stuck like glue in water, high levels. You can just take them down with ranged while you use rocks as cover.

Deeper into the dungeon there is a acid pit, the mobs are so fucking stupid that they back and forth through the acid killing themselves. It's hilarious and yields tons of gold and equipment.

You can kite black knights at the end of the dungeon and get them stuck on walls, yaay free plate!

So that is the big one, the cat is out of the bag so go nuts!

If you know of any others post them up, it's bullshit what these "hardcore guilds" have been saying - this is what EVERYONE IS DOING.

So it's time to level the playing field, the game should not be about knowledge of exploiting to succeed.

Let's spill the beans!

If this is true, then the server needs a wipe.

This problem can break the game for many people.

Drive people away from it.

Make people quit. People bad talking the game and the company behind it for it.

Thats the type of problem, that in a game like Darkfall, make people very frustrated. 

Even if someone isnt the "Killer" or "Achiever" type of player.

Since its in the beggining days, only those who benefitted from the exploits have something to lose from a wipe, so it would serve as a punishment for them. Also, the company would get praised, getting a good impression from the community from how they deal with "a major problem in the launch".

Even those who "legitimally" earned their achievements have nothing to lose compared to the greater good it will come from the wipe. Everyone will benefit in the long run from the healthy administration of the server. 

Why not just add this to the thread you quoted from?

I agree, BTW, a server wipe is nesessary if there are exploits being utilized currently. Sooner the better for less pain.

Well, I am not playing yet so I do not care what they do really, everyone can always leave server when new one opens, and the exploiters can have fun with themselves.  They can wipe the server and refund everyone a few days again... and look at as atleast they got to get a little practice and knowledge of the game, unlike the majority of us.

Maybe some don't want to waste time on a already corrupted server until a new one opens.

They need to wipe the servers.

The title of that thread wasnt catchy enough to get the recognition and the seriousness the matter requires.

Besides, the main thread with the "Wipe" on the title didnt had a strong enough message on the topic (that the subtle one had).

Bro, are you really this dilusional and unaware of whats going on around you? Aventurine cannot even get 1 server to work with just 5k ~6K players...   let alone 15k ~20k..!

They are not going to pay another $200k to bring up a new server farm...!  LOL

I whole-heartedly agree with OP. Do it. Wipe it and fix these problems.

I played beta for almost 4 weeks altogether and I fought a lot and played a lot. I only had 42 sword skill. I cant believe some people already have 50. Its outrageous. Clearly it is done by ppl hitting endlessly on very tough mobs that cannot hit back.. And then they get insanely good drops.

This is out of line.

The worse part is how clueless Brannoc acted about the issue.  EU1 is Toxic imo.  I don't even want to play on that server unless they wipe it.  A friend of mine was doing this exploit and he said he had all kind of high lvl gear and shit in this bank and such. Carin or what ever the south eastern island is called was loaded with orges bugged to shit.

They will not wipe.   I am almost positive of that.   The amount of exploiting done is being extremely exaggerated.   Hopefully, they will pull the logs of any group involved so they know for sure if they need to be penalized in any way.    I doubt anything more than some guild accessing broken and stuck mobs happened on opening day.

All of you calling for a wipe are idiots.  I dont care though.  Wipe it if you want but it will not change a thing.  Those same guilds will still get their cities again and you will still suck.

if clans claim they did it legit in a day then it should be no big deal with the weekend coming up. But it is a fact that at least some were exploiting. So wipe it and prove yourselves!

Only if they dont fix the bugged mobs. I dont get it, so really people want to be able to use a "cash register" in a HARD CORE pvp game to get everything easy? Thats really pretty pathetic for people whom have repeatedly pounded thier chests or tits...and proclaimed "THIS IS HARD CORE". Frankly that "easy mode" smacks me of a bunch of pussys. Hell people should be welcoming a wipe, as it is everyone in game that went from pauper to prince in what TWO freaking days? makes the entire game suspect.

Who cares about the cities when people got   rank 50 weapons and high lvl armor.  SUN, KGB, Dutchy of Wessex ,  ect,  now have a nice little gear bonus.

We require a wipe, yes, but not just a wipe.

We are not stupid. We want them to wipe AND solve the issues so it doesnt get exploited again AFTER the wipe. Its obvious, I know, but in the other topics there are people still posting that a wipe wouldnt change anything (!) Thats why I have to be specific, some people cant think for themselfs.

About organized and overcommitted guilds having the lead, thats perfectly fine.

Actually you don't need hope for a server wipe man just join those exploiters guild ! You can't win them you join them ! Join in the exploit too if server didn't fix it on the next uptime. Keep all the loots yourself from the exploit and joining the exploit guild man you good to go , no wipe i say. Or u can just wait for 2nd server and go there.
