Originally posted by GoodBadUgly On the duping issue I believe that there is a strong chance that it was put back into the game as what was released was more then likely a modified build of a previous update allot of the issue with sync were in game over a week ago and then fixed at the same time the dup bug was fixed. That being said the server did not have the player cap reached at all maybe just under 5000 accounts created before it went down. The only other option I see to a wipe would be to have another server open that would give people and option to chose and roll on starting over or stay and live with the guilds that did cheat and gain an unfair advantage as harvesting the higher mobs with macros is an expliot bugged mobs or not. |

Originally posted by duckky Well that's possible explanation, how some clans including for example LoD got money for city shard. Nothing new, a few guilds mostly in dwarf's and human's lands exploited bugged mobs during beta as well. That's effect of lack of mobility during beta, we simply couldn't check every mob spawn and some people did not report them seeing great chance for faststart on launch. |

I share some of your sentiments that guilds started on equal footing but I personally know that a couple hours after the servers stabilized things were far from equal. The idea that everyone had access to bugged MOBs is not true. The favorite bugged Mobs were like Pinatas and just stood around without AI, they were not widespread across the entire server, they seemed to be grouped in out of the way areas like on the outer four continents. iThe very fact that someone guilds are just know learning about the lame MOB harvesting that was going on shows it was available to everyone. I saw the gains made by guilds harvesting bugged MOBS and it was HUGE, there were commonly groups of players each harvesting a single MOB that dropped high end weapons, armor, 100+ gold, Teleport Runes and Chest keys. One player could kill a single MOB or two in about a full stam bar and rest up right in time for the respawn. The harvesting yielded huge amounts of gold and banks full of items. It was much for efficient for a group of 10 to single kill bugged mobs with no downtime or risk than for 10 players to struggle to kill active mobs mired in sync issues. Congrats on your guild's success it was hard earned but don't fool yourself , there are other like sized guilds that harvested 10+ times are much money and gear as you did. A large number of guilds now have an unfair foothold, they snatched up prime cities well before dedicated honest guilds could even get the 2000 gold needed to get their guild started. Now with the AI fixed, the next batch of players will have an uphill battle trying to match the harvesting that was done while also fighting off players without the desync safety net, never mind fighting well gear exploiting guilds. I agree that a wipe is heavy handed and will punish the honest players as well but given the server problems, I doubt that the DEVs can spare any time to scrub logs to find abusers, if they don't take action quickly then the damage will be permanent. Some large guilds are already looking to wait for the next server launch EU2 or NA1 to avoid the mess that just the first day caused, why waste the hardware on a server that will be avoided due to previous exploits ? Here is an idea.... Just warn everyone that due to the unforeseen problems you are going to give everyone 5 days extra playtime and that until the major problems are resolved the current server will be used as a test and wiped at the end. Only wipe items, money,etc.. Keep guild configs, characters (stats and skills). This way you have more time to actually fix the problems, sell the remaining preorders/retail slots and people fell like they gain something for playing during the testing days and best of all everyone has a chance at starting the game closer to an equal footing.

Adventurine's only hope is to do a server wipe, and call it a re-release. If they own up to the big fiasco this is, then at least in the future there will be some supporters for the dev team and the game. |

Wipe it like a dirty ass I say. Or, the first 7 or so clans that had cities up, wipe everyone on the rosters. LoD, you cheating little douches....bad kids! I seen you too "TheMercs", exploiting those crypt guards you little shits. |
