If you get

"Network Timeout"

You must create a new account 

Alot of accounts got bugged up and entering visa number ect, i was one of them every time i tried to enter visa number = timeout , make a new account and try it , trust me it will work instant without timeout then.

Wow, seems they should have made ordering this game a bit easier.  Some people may be turned off by the problems they are experiencing when ordering.  Not a good sign, unfortunately.

Processed preorders are playing the game right now.  If you screwed up when you entered your credit card information or your card was declined, or if for any other reason they couldn't process the preorder they'll try again.  That means you can either delete your info, if you want to cancel your preorder, or  you can update your info and hope it goes through the second time.

 

WE DID NOT SCREW UP! ALL OUR INFO WAS CORRECT. IT WAS A CORRUPT DATABASE OR SOMETHING ELSE STUPID!

Seems the page is working smoothly now at least (checked it out, though didn't order, so I might be wrong). I found it funny though that on the Register side of the page, you get: "Get ready to enter the World of Darkfall..."

 

Just made me giggle a little. ^^

Son of a . . . I have been receiving that Network Timeout error forever, especially when the pre-order link was leaked. Now I created a new account and it took my CC right away. Man, if I would have just done this before, I would have had a preorder and would be fighting invisible goblins, running in place, and crashing to the desktop right now. I really missed out.

Sorry but according to Tasos the mistake was on your end nothing on there end. Just deal with the fact the mistake was your fault!

Well I went to the page and created an account.  I was not asked for any CC information but the message was that i would get an email with a link where I would be able to activate the account.  I figured that the link is where they would ask for the CC information.

Got the email in less than 2 minutes.  Clicked on the link and got the message that there was no such user account or something to that effect.  Page refreshed to the original login/create account page.  Put in the login and pass word and got..."Incorrect account name/password combination "  Tried this several times and nothing.  Soooo, I created a new account, email came... then same exact thing happened.  This time i let it be and came here to see if anyone has had the same problem.

Just made an account and it worked, then it went to billing information..
Says this though so I don't think I can put in CC info...

Page is back up so people who Pre-Ordered and want to cancel can cancel now. (if they haven't been billed fully yet)

They said they aren't taking any more orders until they get everyone who pre-ordered into the game and fix the bugs that are flushed out from having a real load on their servers for the first time.

I know, testing gets cut first on most projects I've worked on. Their is actually business logic and formulas that show management when testing will pay back more than just shipping with the bugs and fixing later.

Add to that problems of running out of funding and being overdue on loans, and you are forced to either throw the project away or ship it with bugs and fix them inline.

Add to that the limited staff size and lack of experience with large scale network projects and it isn't hard to see how these guys didn't even expect these problems at release. They are just newbs, but they will learn fast if they are smart. If they are smart, things will get better fast. If that is the case, we can have some faith in the game. If not, then I wouldn't trust them until you can go to the store and buy a copy where you can return it in 30 days for any reason.

I can't register an account.  It gives me a vague error and tells me to contact my administrator. Any fixes/ideas?
