And yes I know they posted this 4 hours ago, but I am going to post it again anyway because it has the answer to a question that's being asked like crazy on here.

Official statement in update:

We have processed the problematic accounts that were never charged but received a successful pre-order notification. Only a small percentage of these were successful and we found out that this is because most of them contain incomplete or incorrect account information. We will try this one last time again tomorrow morning European time, and we’ll open up account management later tonight for these accounts to be able to correct their account data and credit information before we reprocess them. If anyone does not want the pre-order to be processed, they should remove their credit card information from their account. After this is concluded we should be able to open up sales for more Darkfall copies.

Translation:

1.) Tonight, they are going to open the accounts page after it being closed for over 24h. https://www.darkfallonline.com/accounts/f/default.php?pname=Homepage

2.) Tomorrow morning (GMT I assume), all the people who pre-ordered and couldn't play are going to re-enter their information OR revoke their information if they decide they aren't interested in this crap. AV will then process it 'one last time' as they say.

3.) Once they finish that, new sales are up. I believe them. Why? Chances are they wouldn't announce this if the sales weren't ready. In fact, they were probably ready today at noon GMT like they said it would be yesterday, but they decided not to open up the sales until the disenfranchised pre-orders were addressed (it makes sense. Imagine if you pre-ordered and you got to play AFTER the second wave of sales..you would be fuming mad beyond your prior state).

We can HOPE, at least.

Processed preorders are playing the game right now.  If you screwed up when you entered your credit card information or your card was declined, or if for any other reason they couldn't process the preorder they'll try again.  That means you can either delete your info, if you want to cancel your preorder, or  you can update your info and hope it goes through the second time.

^ Problem is, you can't update your info, because the damn account page is down.

Believe it or not, I clicked it and its up. First time in 24+ hours

Well, hopefully that means the worst is over.

The page is up, but when i try to register my credit card i only get "Network Timeout please try later"...

in all honesty, if you truly want to buy this game and play, wait until after launch so Aventurine can attempt to fix the servers.

Weird... I don't know. Just tried now, no problems.

Well, going by the rough schedule AV laid out for us, it should be 11-12 hours minimum before new sales are available. It's 10:56 PM GMT and they said 'Morning European time.'

anyone mind sharing how long it takes for the activation mail on a new account to arrive? just created it about 5 minutes ago.

It was 2 days ago I made my account but it did take about 5 or 10 minutes.

I just made mine and got it in likek 15 minutes... :)

Well it let me register for an account, havent got my activation email yet...

Its just gone 10pm, Thursday night.
