When a game has more negatives than positives, that makes it garbage.

From everything I have seen and for everything others have posted, The negatives to me more than out weigh anything positive in the game.

Your opinion is DF is great, Mine is that isn't worth my time or my money.

We can pull down MMORPG.com game list a sec, and there are easy 10 games on that list that shit on DF graphics and animations wise.

The ONLY thing I can tell that DF has that others games do not is the ability to loot a body of a person you kill.

Yeah that is how bad the melee animations are in this game, looks like a tennis backswing over and over 7000 times. With a blood poof after every swing.... pretty lame.

Sad part is, for people who know better, you don't even believe in the game yourself. Which is evident because you all vigorously defend it so much. A truely great game needs no defense. DOesn't even need a post. It just delivers.

Head over to the wow forum and look at all the hate... I rarely post there, you know why? Not because I play it, I used to but I stopped.

WoW doesn't need to be defended. Because wow defends itself. WoW eats competition for breakfast and spews remains of dead games all around it. It doesn't need fans to back it up. Every fan of wow on the planet could never visit a forum, and it wouldn't make that game any less than it is right now.

FFXI another game that will always stand the test of time. Years have passed and it still hanging on to about the same subs over a constant amount of time. It doesn't need defense on a forum cause it is just that good.

LotRO had prolly the best launch of any MMO to date. It also has some of the smoothest gameplay and better community fo the games on the market today. People try to bash it, but what are you bashing really? Nothing because LotRO speaks for itself. It is just that good.

 

What does DF say? It says I have horrid graphics with horrid animations, with mediocre gameplay on a system so bad hackers can tear me apart. With a dev team so small and in experienced it couldn't deal with them if it wanted to. Hell it can't even release on time, much less deal with cheaters.

Yeah DF needs you guys here, it needs defense and it needs all the help it can get.

So I don't care what you guys say or do. Have fun in a mediocre world, if you can ever get into it.

I was very skeptical and often critical of Darkfall for years, as well.  I knew they couldn't deliver a game that they hyped up to this extent.  That said, I can honestly say that as far as gameplay, Darkfall is better than any MMO I have played, currently on the market.

I am a big fan of Morrowwind and Oblivion.  It really does feel a LOT like Oblivion.  That works just fine for me as it will work just fine for a lot of people.

So you don't want to play Darkfall based on what you have read or heard...  GREAT, don't play.  It leaves one less noob running around on the server acting like a 10 year old who I would just have to gank anyway.  No big loss for the game, no big loss for AV, no big loss for the MMO industry, no big loss at all.

Darkfall world is totally different from oblivion but look in many ways like morrowind only much better grafhics and AC2, specially some areas with plants and trees almost copyed ferom AC2.

Darkfall only resembelence is morrowind, the mobs is Darkfall are both high AI and stupid AI and i mean realy stupid AI that easyely can be exploited.

Mobs in oblivion dont act at all like Darkfall ones.

The "world" of Darkfall is pretty unmatched in any MMO I have seen.  The gameplay is a lot like Oblivion.

And the plot deepens.... Maybe they had the day Febuary 25th right... they just got the year wrong.

So you are saying that a mmog has a single player game feel to it? That is a great selling point. Thanks for the heads up, I know not to even waste my time. I was excited about this game for a long time, but honestly, the DF community (outside of Darkstar, who I think presents his views usually in a very intelligent manner) is what has killed any desire I have for this game. Add in that AV has completely screwed up the pre order, beta, release, and have constantly went back on their word does not help. It is rather sad when I rather give SOE my money than AV, and I have a complete hatred for SOE.

Yep.  You should probably stick to winning titles such as Vanguard, Pirates of the Burning Sea, and EQ II.

Much more user-friendly. 

By the way, just because the gameplay mechanics of a game FEEL like a single player RPG such as Oblivion, doesn't mean that game is a single-player game.  A LOT of MMO games play like a crap version of any of the Final Fantasy games, yet they maintain MMO status.

Get a grip dude.  Stick to Vanguard, it's much easier to play and you don't have to worry about seeing other players in-game.  You have virtually the entire server all to yourself!

Ive been here before son.

When a new MMO comes up its usually exactly like this, every hour seems like a week, and everyone begging for more information from the devs.

Some MMOs have had good launches ill give em that, TR had a pretty good one.

But with most its like this, but dont worry, soon the game will be up and we will all be playing.

And ppl will completly forget about those expectant hours right before launch and the massive amount of lag the login server has to go throu, and start complaining about the next games launch.

Not me thou, ill be playing DFO.
