"The one you call messiah is a lie"--- Gary Numan |
To me no. Why would you want to launch a game at the end of the working day? When all games go live there are problems, things need to be patched up and held together until they can fix them right? So why launch in the evening when everyone who works is at home or going to bed or asleep? If the server was in the U.S.A it'd make sense due to timezones, any emergency and you can get help to fix the problem in the morning or afternoon. However Aventurine alledge they're launching in the evening! So let's say for the sake of argument they do launch, the server crashes and everything goes down the pan and they need to get help? Yeah it's just team Tasos and their own resourcefullness! Well even the most ardent Fallbois has to feel nervous at that thought right? My personal belief is it won't launch and this is another smoke and mirrors act so that when it doesn't go live. Or something goes live then crashes three nanoseconds later and never comes back up, most of the European fallbois are too tired to head down to Athens with pitchforks and flaming torches to start another riot. You'll be told there were technical problems so servers won't be going up for a while and you'll have to wait until an unspecified date until you can play, but we did launch DF YAY! That was my best case scenario, I'd be suprised if any server went live. However Aventurine is the company that likes to suprise us this year! Also I'd like to ask the fallbois about when the open beta was and can I play before I pay?

I think it will launch on time, but will be very messy and not everyone will be able to get in on the first day. It'll probably be a week or so until everything is smoothed out and everyone who wants to get in, can. |

It's too early to say if DF is launching today or not. I sure hope it is. Keep your fingers crossed! |

If they don't launch today I think loads of people will loose the remaining of faith in DF. Specially when they have pre ordered and have paid to be able to play from today. Adventurne is a small company, yet they have to behave like a real company to be able to survive and compete with others. For the people who pre ordered I do hope everything goes smooth, the genre does need a game like Darkfall. Why they choose to do this at the end of the day is weird, but maybe they have everything under control. or maybe they are just too confident in themselves. :P What I find even more weird is the lack of updates on their webpage, you would think they actually would post some info there when it is launch day after all. |

Nothing makes sense in Aventurine. But they managed to create a game in their own way. We will see. |

ther is nothing difernt to them from yesterday, except today they are going to charge beta testers for their job. They probably have sold a number of preorder equal to the number of tesers, so they know server could support them. |
