There what I think :

At first I will answer you by telling you there no secret at all for the PVE content, so that wont keep you in touch.
Not promising, you've got like many MMO those 2 starting zone for each races (nooblan). Many quest that you dont even need to know what they mean just run look the map take the mob drop return for the reward... Go see NPC bought your skill, that the same patern... There some in-game, cinematic like in LOTRO, Questing its like WoW without require any MOD or UI Customize. The mob are more cool, and more diversify than in WoW the Art's pretty amazing that one big point, animation + casting speel well done, you can cast principal spell in walking or running that cool. The Ai in the mob isnt bad might be surprised myself more when I will reach highter zone I dont know, those who think War social quest are the best there nothing like that in that game, we already know but for those who was dreaming lol not luck for you. Other classes like the Asssasin are everywhere but they dont seem to deal good mele dmg I tryed all the classe those I think are the best was sorcerer,and cleric. You can ask for duel all you want with other noob player, I most say the caracthere armor and style are pretty well done with the creation part to, but the landscape song to much Clean art its took me like more that 1 hours of play to really appreciate, that wasnt bad at all but its go with the apreciation and timeplay you will reach some place that are oustanding other are normal, you wont find the landscape really AMAZING at the begining that what I mean... I dont even know how to put it in word but the landscape its special, you need an adaptation time for it after it look well.
I spoke a lot of everything but I must add, the chain skill isnt hard to control at all its really normal nothing here special.... Sorcerer exemple : 1 my fireball after the fireball at lvl 8 youve got a skill eruption that will go like this than :

1 fireball = use 1 again its gonna be eruption....

so... sleeping mode ZZzzzz and macro time.

must important the game is oriented PVP and until lvl 20 you cant go in the abyss actually I've saw and took some video of the Abyss because at begining you have a quest there gearing you and you fly with wing for the first time ( you dont even control yourselft its a big cinematic in game ... nothing exciting )

Not at the moment, those first 10 level are boring and it wasnt keeping me in fron of the screen, (so sorry I dont have any more moment in 1 month I played only 10 lvl since im busy at work and life, but later I will be deeper in the game certainly, if that can assure you more, but this isnt starting well. ) I think I should wait until the americain lunch and see what it will happen with the communoty, since that missing for me with those korean player who making only assassin and only making pretty small caracthere (they dont even try to make giant lol in fantaisy they stay like they are in real life SMALl really small lol ) *Anyway those areeeeeeeee REAAAAALLLY boring player let me told you LOL ... like some other people that I know but they dont even party between them so kinda normal for them.. *

* let me say this isnt bad talking of wow or war, just getting a comparaison, I dont want to wake up those troll dude -_- *

I have a question: How is the movement? The feel? Is it was easy to pick up and play and control as WoW for example? Or is it clunky and stiff?

And I know there will probably be many patches before I see it, but how is the client so far? Crash often or buggy? And also, how is the preformance? Will I need a monster rig to enjoy the visuals? Or is it going to be a slideshow? (Optimization?)  I know it's kind of a loaded question considering so many different types of computer builds and components out there, but generally speaking.

Big question here about the optimization and everything you bring a nice point that I didnt talked much, EASY well im not the guys with the lowest computer( my computer its a big deal really so this isnt my problem )

I took video of the game in HD max reso of my 22inch screen 1680*1500, with Anti alising i was close to 30 FPS in video recording,. That tell you all what you need to know, pretty quick responding no bug into the configuration ( only CRACHGUARD might bring some problem in the futur, I really hate this system its isnt professionel at all and its a thrid program party ) so I think a Notebook can pretty well handle the game maybe in RvR you wil need to use the shortcut to put you game into a lower quality, but Ive tryed in lower quality and its like Age of conan on that only point ( i mean AoC had many optimization problem but if you put it in lowest quality the game still look pretty god ). There for those who think the game might crached or being to big for them DONT PANIC at al.

I didnt acounter to much landscape bug, i mean there not really a landscape problem only sometime cracthere might get bloked between stair and hill but... you arent s uppose to be there lol ( was a mesaventure ) but I did some jump and I was able to get out this place ^^'' lol

the skill for those who are affraid of Assasin being to much DPS, dont panic this isnt the problem ;).

Actually for those patchI dont think the game will change a lot since its look like we got some patch for ( I dont know what really sorry lol)
but the most interesting its if they put the patch before that mean they will be able to made new client with all those correctif in it so you wont need to download them since they will be with the original client.

actuall client weight 8.67gigue and its up-to-date.

Hope that will gave you some answer that you will appreciate, I never crached on the game, not memory leak, no bluescreen.

My friends and I much appreciate this as we try to be serious mmo-gamers and we are looking to take the next big leap to Aion.

Sounds good, but do remember that NCSoft did say that there are alot of changes in developement for the Western Audience over what was released in Korea.  I'm still interested in the game, but I look forward to seeing how well its localized and how well the western influence is added.

Im really curious to see what happends with Aion in the US/EU launch. The game sounds fantastic so far and the gamplay videos look good as far as ebb and flow. Im really just concerned that I dont want this to be another Warhammer.

Warhammer had a little bit of everything (which is kinda like Aion) but I dont want to get Aion and then see my pre-order money fly out the window.

And just for some back history, the major problem I had with Warhammer, is that it was a pvp orientated game, and the RVR aspect (which was the most important) was completely consumed by the Scenario aspect. IMO devs got greedy with trying to pull the wrong crowd in the game for quick cash, and it backfired. Anyway I am very much looking forward to Aion, and thank you for the replies Neo.

Just because it doesnt offer anything ground breakingly different, doesnt mean its not new.  Thats just like saying your sick of books because they are all in a simmilar format.  Truth be told, that most games are just a book in a visual gameplay format. Just because Aion isnt bringing anything new to the format, doesnt mean that the story inside isnt unique or new. Aion does offer new things to the genre, Flying is just one of them. But if you base your entire MMO playstyle on completely new and unique ingrediants, your in the wrong field.

I have been playing Lineage 2 for 4+ years. Slowly NC Soft changed this games to Bottage. It is full of bots and 3rd party programs. It did nothing at all to enforce the EULAs and many think changes were made to promote botting. They have no GMs in game and if you have a problem ...too bad.

Personally i will never buy another NC product because they do not support the NA/Euro market. Its a Korean Company making products for their Korean player base.

Who are you to doubt about what Aion offers? You didn't even research to know that it supports WASD movement flawlessly.

There really is no scenario's in Aion. There are instance doungeons  in the game but I have not seen any yet ( I think you got to be around lvl30 before can go into them).

One thing about the game that is going to be hard for some people is there is a lot of ganking going on (its part of the game and you just have to deal with it). Don't make an alt until you have maxed your main char, and when you do start an alt expect to get ganked from time to time, but the good thing is this game does not take too long to reach max. It's not too dam easy like WOW but you will get there with effort.

One more thing to keep in mind about the game. It is boring in the beginning (feels like any other mmo game) but you will get a taste of PvP for the first time around lvl19 and when you hit lvl25 then the game will totally change from a solo PVE game to a RvR game. You will find yourself always scanning around because the enemy faction could pop in at anytime.
