What feature sets would you insist on having?

The only difference between a Troll and a Fanboi is which side of the fence they stand on.

The one I designed last year and started to build.  Hands down.

However, I put that aside because I was hit by a bolt of awesome brilliance and started to make this other MMO... which is not a RPG...

I would like a bunch of abilities to change the world in a cyclicle way.

I save the Princess, she is saved, and no one else can save her. But, someone can kidnap her, and then she needs saving, again.

I can build a bridge which creates a shortcut to a new area. But, someone can tear it down.

I can cause a trading village to be established out the the wilderness so you dont' have to go all the way back to town to get rid of loot. But, someone can cause all the traders to leave.

I can open up a new dungeon, like Darkness Falls in DAoC, but someone else can do things that will deny me access to the dungeon.

I can coordinate with other players  and build something that will give everyone in my town an extra ability. But, it must be maintained, and if it falls into disrepair, the new ability will be lost for everyone.

Then you start to chain them together. To save the Princess, you have to open a dungeon, which will get you to an area where you need to build a bridge, and once you save the Princess she provides the power to build the item in town that gives everyone a new ability, and so forth.

I'm currently not hiring.

I wish I was though, I could use another code monkey.

 

But you should put your ideas into action on your own.  Go pickup a copy of like Torque and make a demo of your ideas!  Python is super easy to learn, even for artists.  And then you'll also have another skill that can be used when you do land that "you thought it was a dream job until you realized it's 60+ hours a week and the pay is bad" Design position. :-)

 1) Have the freedom to craft the weapons that i like, the furniture the house of my dream.

2) No end-game content.

3) A world that's always changing.

4) Non-instance world.

5) Of course features like mobs that will only comes out in certain time or season, weather that will affect your skills, which some games have promise but fail to deliver.
