What do you think was the biggest single mistake that Mythic did with Warhammer? Their game keep surviving with aproxomately 300k subscribers, perhaps below but they did lost over 500k subscribers in about only four months! Why?
Personally I would say that the "world" didn't feel like a world but rather like some stand alone maps puzzled together... One of the reasons I play MMO's is for the WORLD!!

I think it's a fun, good game. 250-300k subs is fine Having a blast on the test server wit da choppa! |

currently WAR is my game of choice so i am enjoying the game but here are the things i think would make the game better and this is only my opinion so dont bash me if you dont agree. crafting could be much better, i agree with the poll on the world doesnt quite feel like a world. better Order classes to even out the population between Destro and Order, Slayers will help that a little but not enough. too many of the keeps and BOs seem too similar and repetitive to me. i would like to see more mounts and itemization too. |

Yup, very true...they ruined all the open-world PvP zones...yeah they were still populated somewhat at first but most the time players just camped and played them for their PvP fix. They also rewarded way too much XP gain which should have only been rewarded during open-world or during PvE. Mythic built this huge PvE playground to romp around in, but it was all entirely skippable because of the scenarios. |

after they added gear through open rvr most if not everyone does open rvr so its really not an issue anymore |

1. Making it a pvp centric game was the worst idea. No pvp mmo will ever prosper for the long term without a soild pve content. 2. Bad pve - It is like they just slapped stuff together and called it pve content. 3. Scenarios were too repetitive. 4. Should have made DAOC 2 instead. |

The Number One reason WAR failed in my mind is because the world wasn't seamless... I had imagined that each castle you took would bring you that much closer to the enemies capital city and each time you lost a forward spawn you really felt it. They should have took what made planetside so great and ran with it. |

Yes they made mistakes, to think that they wouldn't make mistakes is absurd. I agree with cross server SCs, that would be kickass ;) EDIT: some posts sound like they are posting about their experiences during launch, there have been a lot of changes and some of what is posted no longer applies. |

the world was utter crap. I remember flicking through the early screens on WAR (back in 06) and i saw a world that i wanted to roam around in, to explore. small zones (battlefields) were a great idea pvpwise but it fails to deliver the kind of world many are looking for. MMO wish list: -Changeable worlds |
