I am not saying that everyone is guilty .. you misunderstand.  I think that if the system provided more protection to victims than it does to criminals there would be no need for vigilante justice, but in it's current  condition that is just not how it is.  We already have a town where the teachers are armed .. we have another town that every head of household is required to own and maintain a firearm.. and guess what happned there, been 25 years since they passed that law and there has not been even one gun related death. not even one in 25 years... amazing how that happens. Oh yea and the crime rate went down to nonexistent as well. You would be suprised how would be criminals behave when they know that there is a 99.9% chance they will be shot if they do something .

I agree this would be terrible to try and implement it in some place like NY after they have already allowed it get the way it is.  This is a preventive measure not a try to clean up the mess after they have already created it. No In someplace like NY it would be better to start off slowly like requiring firearm training and psychological evaluation prior to allowing this... you see here even a girl like me has been shooting since I was 8 yrs old, the first thing we are taught is the power of a weapon and to respect it. Anything you do with  that weapon is permanent it can't be undone.

I think that there is a big differnce between alot of the people here and alot of people that were not raised in that environment.  We are raised here to take things more seriously and accept personal responsibility. A gun is not something to make you look cool, it is not something to show off, it is not something to play around with and it is not the first resort to solving a problem. It is however a tool that may be used to save your life. I think the problem with guns is not the guns it is the lack of respect for your firearm, the lack of personal responsibility, the lack of respect for others.  Here those values are instilled and enforeced from birth, and  with that comes the "Texas pride" . I think that if everyone was raised  in an evironment with more personal responsibility and made to fully understand cause and effect their actions it would solve a great deal of the problems facing our country .

Agreed, I too have been shooting since I was around 9-10.  I come from a family of hunters ( I personally do not hunt though, more of a target/for fun shooter, Im also an archer ) so I do not play around when it comes to guns, BB guns, paint ball guns, etc.  You hold a gun wrong in front of me, you're going to hear it.  Same goes with knives.  Always practiced saftey first when it came down to weapons and firearms.

Cant be bias to the people that live in NYC about gun control.  Like me, I love guns, they are one of the best inventions of all time, some might agree, but put a gun to good use and its your best friend. If you grow up around guns the proper way like you say, you'll have a totally different outlook on gun control and respect for your firearm.

If someone strikes a woman in self-defense I don't really see a problem with it but I'd never do it myself.  The worst thing I've ever done is push my girlfriend away from a door she was blocking, preventing me from leaving after breaking up with her.  I tried to talk her away from the door for a good 5 minutes and warned her I'd have to move her myself several times.

So after my patience wore out I grabbed her and moved her forcibly along the wall and held onto her so she wouldn't fall, but she managed to trip over her feet somehow and went straight down on her butt, hard.  She cried for a second, then started screaming and calling me a sunuvabitch, then got up and attacked.  She started wailing on me and I just had to try and shield my head while collecting the rest of my belongings from the apartment.  She beat on me for a good couple of minutes before tiring out.

I got about a mile away before she called me to tell me she was going to kill herself.  So then I felt guilty and found myself breaking every traffic law in the book to get back there as quick as I could.  I had to kick down two doors and wrestle a knife out of her hands.  Then I called her mother and stayed with her till she showed up.  After some counseling and medication, our one year anniversary together will be June 3rd. 

I still haven't had any luck breaking up with her.  I feel like it's more trouble than it's worth.  I just take my weekly sex, spend my two days off with her, and spend the rest of the week trying to avoid her because I feel like my day is going fine until she shows up.

I think im gonna start cheating on her.  The girl at work is 25 and lonely as hell and we'll all be laid off April 1st.  Think I'll get those digits.
