Then it must be just the people you talk to because I haven't heard that from a single member of either guild I belong to.
Every single time there's a new game released, people start posting on here "are you leaving for such and such game?" . The answer is always the same. Maybe they will, maybe they won't, but most people come back eventually. My website is closed temporarily. Hopefully it will only be a short delay. |

I don't know if these guys are being paid but they should be. I've seen them in eq2 and in vanguard in ooc type chats making a ruckus about the second coming to games, darkfall. No nobody is going to darkfall. The game is destine to fail if it really comes out at all. It is an FPS style MMORPG. It is heavily PvP based. It has almost nothing to appeal to the typical pve oriented MMORPG gamer. This assumes it isn't still born due to bad design, bugs, and server issues. |

I really can't imagine that; EQ2 and Darkfall are so fundamentally different and thus for almost the opposite kind of gamer. Maybe one or two try it out of curiosity, but I can not seriously imagine anyone who is content with EQ2 have a good time with Darkfall - or any Darkfall lover having been in EQ2 any more than... 2 minutes? SOE will buy Darkfall in 6 months anyway, muhahaha. XD Just kidding. It wont live that long. *ducks* =P

yeah I don't think Darkfall will pose much of a threat to casual mmo populations...but I can see TOR possibly making a sizable dent if it has a successful launch. |

{mod edit}
i played eq2 on the pvp server since the beginning. A LOT of people on nagafen are just tired of the game in general, especially SOE's dev ignorance for PVP. Many of my friends on nagafen will be coming to darkfall... once they play they'll stay too.
edit: i see it taking a large chunk of eq2's already dieing PVP... maybe causing eq2's pvp servers their ultimate demise. These server's deaths may free up one extra dev to help bail out the sinking ship of everquest two tho. |

Good, we don't want the PvP'rs in EQ2 anyway.
We won't be hearing cry's of "change my class so I can kill other classes better" anymore. My website is closed temporarily. Hopefully it will only be a short delay. |

I say this with absolutely no malice, but I find it hard to take the opinion of someone named "bongloads" seriously. Ah, probably just me. "There goes the neighhboorhood! Hey! All you darn kids! Go on! Get offa my game! |

Honestly I just use it as a way to even the score for debates... I usually have the upper hand so i might as well feed my nemesis some worthless ammo. |

Thats original. let me guess your name is Jeff and your 44 years old and the dad from Family Guy is your role model....whos serious now? Its hard to take ANYONE serious on these boards, because everyone is anonymous and it is a MMORPG forum...i mean, really....? |

I think it's safe to assume that some EQ2 players, and probably heavy PvP'ers, will at the very least check out Darkfall...if it is what they say it's going to be it sounds like a PvP'ers dream MMO. Some will stay, some won't.

During beta i probably spend 2% of my time actively pursuing PVP. Most of the time i was PVEing, and having a blast. Four years of EQ2 PVE had me craving a change... and i found it. |

Wait, the name "bongloads" makes you laugh, but the dad from Family guy does nothing for you? Is this a great country, or what? "There goes the neighhboorhood! Hey! All you darn kids! Go on! Get offa my game! |

I feel most people who have played EQ2 for long enough now have made friends /guildies and wont be leaving but on pvp it could be totally differant as far as i know . If i did pvp i dont think i would do it on EQ2 thats for sure after what i hear and read about pvp there. |

sorry but the EQ2 crowd and the DF crowd are two totally different types of players, i doubt that EQ2 will even feel a dent from people going to DF
