Hey,

My girlfriend loves to play Neopets.  The problem with Neopets though is that it is a bandwidth DEMOLISHER as she has used amounts up to 500-700MB a day.  With the cap on our internet I want to get her into a nice online game that is installed on the computer so that we are only sending small packets like in a normal video game.

She likes fun, interactive and easy to get into games like neopets where there are plenty of different activities to do immediately.  She isn't interested in grinding games or pvp or the normal elements that make up an mmo.

It doesn't have to be a mmo but I would like a game that interacts with an online community.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I very much enjoyed Nexus: Kingdom of Winds. If you wanna max out your lvl, there's grinding for sure. But you really don't have to. It's a relatively easy/simple game with a bunch of really nice players. Also, it's cute and I know my GF liked it.

Hey - good luck in your game search. It sure would be nice if this website had a whole FORUM dedicated to players that are looking for a game to play. I'm sure you could get a ton more informative responses if you used a resource like that. Someone should really tell the mods to make one...

I am sorry I didn't post in the right forum.  Being used to forums i usually goto general discussion knowing that it has the highest activity and didn't think to look for a specific section.

I'll be sure to post 8 more times after this post so I can become an advanced user like you.

Although I dont actually play video games anymore, I can say my recent ex used to spend hours playing those dumb free games on aol. But seriously do you want a video game nerd for a girlfriend?? If I were you Id go join a gym with her that way she cant have an excuse for getting out of shape haha. Damn Im twisted.

Freeworld/realms/whatever is a good choice but it isn't out yet (beta shortly).

You have quite a few choices for casual.

Always games like fusion fall (which actually impressed me for what it is. As a matter of fact my 27 year old ass is playing that one now.It's just fun!)

That disney pirates game, you know? The one with that one guy who was in that one movie with gandalf , the name eludes me now. (this is a joke, maybe.)

Trickster (if you are into that sort of thing.)

Mabinogi , good game . It falls into "life mmo". 

Nostale , lolable for me but hey if you want to try it, it's fun for a bit.

My gf lubs her some mabi, the demographic is seems to be equal male and female. Theres just alot to do.

I'd try for that one first.

Yea I would say Mabinogi is a good bet for GF, I showed mine the game and she thinks its cute cooking etc but had to buy her a new comp since the one she had was crap and graphics looked like large square pixels. so a semi-decent comp would do wonders!
 

hi doug. i'm playing shadow of legend now. your GF can also try this interesting online game. beach turtle, mushroom cultivation are very cute activities. this Friday will be its double xp day. it's a big chance for beginner to level fast. hope my suggestion will give you help.
