Maybe it will fail who knows. So far it seems pretty good thou, beta testers are pretty much all happy.
Only concern ive seen is Aventurine's obvious lack of a proffesional community rep. Does that influence the quality of the game? ofcourse not. Game could be good or bad, that has nothing to do with how its being marketed.
So we are left with the words of the ppl who play it.

yes even if it ever gets released, way too much hype around the game. now not by the company itself like there was with aoc and war but players that are over hyping something they never even played. no way for it to live up, and the lack of info at all on the company side has the rest of us leery. i mean they still haven't released system specs yet have they? and they have how long till launch? i and many others will be more surprized if its not just another dark and light than if it is just a scam. i really hope it is everything and more that we all want and hope it does launch flawlessly. we all know bad launch = dead game |

I can't understand for the life of me why people want a game to fail, and better still how they can hate any form of digital media. It's odd and somewhat pathetic. Being an MMO gamer with no life is one thing but being an MMO gamer with no life that feels hate for things that aren't real (as in, they don't exist beyond your computer and the internet) is the rock bottom of gaming. I thought FPS gamers were bad but this is a whole new low. For the Templars... |

Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody the power, the other to crave it. |

Originally posted by Darkstar111 My only legitimate concern for the game is as bugs and balance issues appear in game, or people hack and exploit, how will they handle these issues, and how long will it take for them to get fixed? I spend a great deal of time in newly released games playing as a "tester" still by reporting lots of bugs and obvious balance issues and reporting bots but i am yet to hear how Aventurine will handle their customer service. |

Agreed on this one. As someone who's neither fanboi nor hater, i just want to read genuine opinions and feedback about the game. It takes too much time from work (hehe) to skim through the piles of "darkfall will fail" and "darkfall is bestest orgasm ever" crap threads to find some useful information. |

Thats a legititmate concern, obviously we have no idea. But if we go on what we do know, two things come out favourable for the game.
1. Their current patching has been very good, fast to the point and always in line with what ppl are suggesting. 2. Tasos said they would not have a live team, but keep the devs around as the games live team, thats actually a very good thing for us, as no live team will ever live up the expertise of the original developers. Specially world of warcraft has this issue, it seems 50% of the stuff they need fixing has to go to the original devs anyway since the live team is unable to handle it.

Yes, of course. Lots of people who won't like the game will call it that. After they have read someone else naming it Dark Fail, they will jump on the bandwagon. |

Yeah, that's probably true. But a lot of the DF "fans" have said over the years that this game will "change everything"...... And so did the Darkfall devs, if not in so many words. Now they all seem to be pulling back a lot, trying to talk the game down and stuff, I guess maybe they got into beta and know the truth now? LOL. The one and only. |
