This might be the strangest moderator behaviour I have seen in any forum ever:

This is a whole new take on moderating a forum. They scan all DF forums on the net and ban those who violates Darkfall Forum rules.

Any opinions?

just a loss for them banning the people actualy wanting to play this piece of garbage

Well hello Mr Obvious. They can ban players on their own forum? NO SHIT!

And its my right as a customer to have this as a reason to never pay any money what so ever to Aventurine.

Would you be ok with being banned from mmorpg.com's forums for writing negative about it on darkfall forums?

Brannoc is a fuckin' moron, one of those people who take the job because it's the first and only chance at any kind of power they'll ever have in their lives. He's a Tasos laplicker, as are Brainfreeze and the majority of the mods at Forumfall.  And now they think they have power over what you say in places besides their little kindergarten playground.

they shoudl spend less time moderating other forums, and more time actually finishing the game imo.

Yeah i agree..Must be desperate time calls for desperate measure..I read the posts on DF forum if someone say they need to tweak the color of the game..Watch the Vultures fly out and attack that person who made that post..They dont want to hear that..They only want to hear is, how great thou art DF will be..

Seriously, did Tasos steal your girlfriend or beat you up as a kid or something? All this hate cant just be for a guy who is talking out his ass trying to get you to buy a game can it?

Seems like they have plenty of time to troll other forums on the net because they arn't working on thier vaporware just grooming video and the forums to thier means and waiting for the presale announcement to cash in.

Just wait until the game releases ( yeah right ).

When people mention something bad about Darkfall on a non-related forum and then find out they no longer have game accounts ( no refunds either, of course ). It's not only the mods, the devs are thin skinned little nancy-bois who like to bury negative views of their game also.

That behavior is truly childish on the part of the mods involved regardless of whether they have the power to do so or not... which it appears they do. I can understand them wanting to monitor as much as they can for maintaining the integrity of the NDA but to start chopping heads over comments relating only to some pigheaded mod made on another site is taking the integrity of Darkfall itself to a new low. How long will it be before they start checking the archives and banning players from the game itself for comments made in the past that ragged the game or Aventurine or Tasos. They'll have a field day in these forums if opinions bother them so much.

What would really be a laugh is if some people they ban just happen to have the name on thier forum of someone who rags on another but not the same person. I know i have different names on other forums because mine was taken this is one of them hehe.

What power do they have? To chase prospective customers away? Hell, they're doing gamers a favor, there.

Sure it can. The guy is a moron. And hasn't the balls to come post on a site not moderated by his lapdogs or fanbots, where he'd be torn apart when trying to spin his bullshit. Even the scammer in charge of the last Mourning fiasco had the balls to TRY.

I'm probably considered a troll by the DF community, though I haven't made an account over at Forumfall. I'll laugh my ass off if they deny my registration, saying, "Your kind isn't welcome here! We've been watching you, and we know what you'll do. Go back to WoW!"

...but this kind of behavior is rediculous. NDA breach? Fine, give 'em hell. They talk bad about you on another site? No, that doesn't mean you can do anything about it. The most you could do is collaborate with the other site's administrators and see if you can't punish that poster a little bit, but more often than not, the other site's administrators will laugh at you and tell you to go back to moderating your own damn forums.

Edit: Post 2001, don't worry DF fanbots. I'll be struck down by the Y2K bug because I missed it in 2000.

That's a little excessive and really Big Brother like. I mean what's going to happen when the game goes live? I can just see it now:

"Dear Heartless, you have been banned from the game for saying "Fuck" on Facebook. Harsh language is not tolerated by Aventurine as per out EULA."

Wow! I mean seriously, they banned a guy from their forum who posted something on a site in no way, shape or form affiliated with Darkfall? That's crazy. I am definitely not buying that game. If they are spying on their forum members, imagine what they are going to do to their paid subscribers. Especially since they are in Greece.

There is no reason to argue this point so why are people doing it. Is it right, who knows, is it bitchy for them to do so, probably, but they can obviously do it.
