Let me explain why the skeptics in the Darkfall forums give normal skeptics a bad name:

1)  I've been lied to.  Really?  When was that?  When someone advertised something?  Advertisement is a point of view, and everyone knows that.  It's not really right, or wrong, and merely is meant to be a subjective enticement to get people to pay attention to something.  Darkfall has lots of people's attention, so that part worked.  Anything else is pure subjective nonsense that can be ignored.  Example:  they claim they are going into beta 3 years ago, but decide they need to do a lot more work on the game instead.  Big freakin' deal.

2) Enthusiasts are obnoxious.  So skeptics need to be worse?  I'm a skeptic, and that doesn't work for me...

3) Fanbois are constantly screaming their propaganda.  That's funny, because 90% of the posts I've read in this forum are slamming Darkfall as vaporware and fraud.  It seems to me that rational skeptics should be a little more quiet and rational about their viewpoints.

4) The development team is not telling us everything.  This is where I know I'm no longer dealing with skeptics, I'm dealing with fanbois who want to emotionally blackmail the development team.  "I'm sorry, Mr. Tasos, but I'm going to tell everyone you are a cad if you don't let me know everything there is to know about Darkfall right now."

5) Some people are trolls.  And trolls aren't necessarily skeptics.

I've been paying attention to Darkfall since the latter end of 2007.  I've read nothing nor viewed any videos that makes me less interested, and I've read and viewed a lot.  I'm also not going to buy Darkfall until it hits the states and I'm reasonably confident that there aren't major problems with technology and/or playerbase.

I'm a real skeptic.

I'm a real skeptic.

1. When?  Well as I stated before the guild I am in signed up for guild beta which was "right around the corner" in 2003.  I can't even count the number of times I heard this game is more complete then anything on the market it is OMFG awesome.  And yet there is barely any information and constant delays.  Video are promised for January doesn't actually get released until March.  Unintentional or not I can't say but we have since moved on. 

2. The fanboi to troll ration are in direct correlation.  The troll are so bad on the DF forum because the fanbois are so bad everywhere else.

3. Maybe if you were around longer you would of seen why there is so much hate towards this game.

4. There is a big difference between not giving information promising the world and not backing up any of the promises.

5. Some people just like to troll if you have spent anytime on gaming forums any idiot could realize that.

6. Wow since the latter of 2007.  So you're coming in on the end of what has been an emotional roller coaster for many people jumping up on your soap box.

I'm no fan I'm no skeptic I simply don't care.  Haven't cared for a very long time.  I pop in here just to see what the new fights are about and jump in if I'm bored.

looking at the donkey years of problem ridden development, dont need a genius to figure out how badly the game will fail when it launched. I was right about AoC and WAR and i will be spot on again for darkfall. Everyone said "dont like it, dont play. this game isnt for you". LOL See what happens in the end.

There are no miracles in MMOs. There will be something in darkfall that will pissed off everyone and the game will die before its even barely crawling. I will be back after launch to laugh at the fanbois.

#looking at the youtube videos - game sucks. ppl praising it must have been playing kid games like maple story all their lives

Simple, you said "hate". I am yet to see one single post on MMORPG.com that specifically says they hate the game. Lots of concern, suxors and failure predictions, but no "hate". You choose an emotive term that implies posters are behaving irrationally and are over the top emotionally bound to the game. That is trolling.

Also, you've given your opinion and people have answered. To always need the last word is baiting by definition. For example, I've just given my opinion and wont post to rebutt your retort, feel free to do so but it will only vindicate me.

The manner in which this game is being developed, etc is IMO bad for the MMORPG gaming community in general.  What if all dev teams, lied to and misled the general public about their game for what, 9 years now ?  This is bad business and it does nothing but have a negative impact on PC gaming.

Darkfall could very well win that award. But its still early, im sure there are many months of disappointment ahead for us.

Zaxor in his whole career as a DF whiner has never changed the image of the game for anyone, and never will.

If the game is good no one will give a damn about what he said, or anyone else said after launch.

So let me get this straight, the op asks a question Zaxx answers it and the op says ok let me ask another like why do u even care. That is almost as bad as when u argue with ur wife that u didnt  take out the garbage and u end up getting it for why u didn't tell her her new hairdo was beautiful. The subject just gets changed. It is impossible to answer these people Zaxx cause for some people no answer will suffice. And as a result the same thing that they say you have done, complain or comment, they then in turn do to you.
