Alright, let's forget all of this.
Let's nominate the worst Darkfall Fanboi on the site. (Could also be considered the best Darkfall Fanboi).
I nominate originalegg, for his legendary fanboism across all DF information and dates. |

I'll be honest, that shouldnt be a surprise to anyone. There is global recession. Also, we have to accounnt for yearly inflation. MMOs were $15/month 4 yrs ago, why should we expect them to cost the same 4 yrs from now? MMORPG Characters immortalized! |

Originally posted by Turnell Well in case you can't read a calender this is NOT 4 years FROM NOW. $15/mo is for a AAA game and I sure as hell wouldn't pay $18 for some basement programmer crap that is in late alpha / early beta. Hell if Blizzard went to $18 tomorrow I would venture that they would loose half of their user base and have to struggle by on only 5.5 million subs Please, gobal recession?? yearly inflation?? I don't know about your data but my data shows thatt the cost of internet service and hosting has steadily gone down in the last 4 years so that is not a factor in hosting a game. |

You missed the first 3 letters. IMO mean "in my opinion" and my opinion is still the same. I don't play pve game anymore so yea I am also talking about pvp! There was a guy back when wow started that was always saying he could kill anyone with his druid and how uber he was... We met accidently in the wild and I handed him his ass 3 times in a row with my warrior. He actually made several cross faction alt to try to insult me afterwards. It was both funny and pathetic to see. That how I felt reading your first post I quoted. Beleive it or not, a dog that bark a lot rarely attack. Alright I know this is kinda mean but I like to tell egohungry people how they are not so special but more like everyone else. It is not really an insult it is more like a reality check. FYI, I know I am not better or worse, just down to earth. And yea I confuse people a lot on the internet. Edit: meh.. |

Umm.. <tap tap> You do realize you called someone a Dork, this coming from some rabid MMO player that enjoys games built to challenge the average 8 year old with a fascination with the term E-Peen. To help back up the Elite point of view, you obviously have lived a very sheltered gaming life if you feel that all video games are simply dismissed as "not hard". Games can certainly be complex and challenging unless you got stuck on Video Tic Tac Toe. There are many video games that require gaming skill to be proficient, these games tend to be more competitive than most and they certainly don't resemble some Video game Day Care where; everyone always wins even when they lose , you can never risk anything while playing, never lose anything for making bad desicions, never learn from your mistakes because they game wraps your failures up in a pretty bow and say..." You are special". Like is or not, main stream MMOs do not require alot of coordination, intellect or strategy, these MMOs are like McDonalds, they are engineered to appeal to the taste buds of the masses with a heavy slant towards children. The MMOs have been designed to be friendly, colorful, cute and easy to play, like ordering a Number 1 with a Diet Coke and Large Fries or digging through your Happy meal to find your phat loot. The only problem with the McDonalds style MMOs is that they are constantly thrown around like some model of the perfect restaurant, err perfect game. McDonalds is great but many people want something different, perhaps more complex , more spicy and something that has hard core vegetables that aren't deep fried in an instance. It may be true that McDonalds will always server more Happy Meals than the 5 Star Neuvoe Restaurant but the customers at the Nuevo restaurant can be happy to eat elite food, and hardcore full PvP deserts away from the snot nosed unwashed masses of McWoW Zombies stumbling into the golden arches / portal for their next fix.

They need Dorkfail because it's the only way they CAN be bad-asses. Edit: And to the Dorkfail lover posing as a mod, kiss my fucking ass after you delete this. |

I know this is totally off-topic, and I'm sure one of the fanboi's are going to go crying to the mods to try and get someone in trouble, but..... There are three fanboi's that seem to be more vocal then the other and always catch my attention with their lack of logical thinking, blind devotion, and just out and out gullibility for everything and anything that comes out of Tasos mouth. And they are: downtoearth Aragon100 DarthRaiden
I actually haven't seen much of "downtoearth" and "aragon100" lately, I wonder if it's b/c they are too embaressed by what Darkfall really is, or if they are in "beta" trying to play the game. Aragon100 especially always liked to make a big deal about the skeptics coming back after Darkfall released and apologizing...I wonder if he'll come back after the game releases and be honest enough to call a duck a duck, or if he'll still try and say that Darkfall is teh winz. |

My favorite is Evasion or w-e his name is. There is only 1 truth for him and he write it. Whatever your counter argument may be, you are wrong. |

The best part about this thread is it was discussged for 8+ pages on a rumor. Tasos has never said the final price is 18$.
Expect an update on the 15th. |

This. (and one of the few times we agree). I agree, this is the EU launch, and while they'll let anyone play, wouldn't surprise me at all if we have to pay in EU's to play. This is Aventurine afterall, and they don't do anything like anyone else. And I really think they need the money.

14 Euro seems to be a fair price. It is an European game and they do not have to take into account the dollar. The official US release might have an adjusted price. |

I remember the last dev to say their game was steak compared to all other mmos being McDonald's. Gaute Godager, the moron responsible for AoC. |
