Once they do that they have a major advantage knowing what to farm when to farm and how to farm it. I think if you ignore this point you will be in for a rude awakening. Knowlage alone is a major head start. Would be nice if you had to have a valid SS number to play on the NA server, but i doubt thats going to happen, I am assuming it will be a walk in the park for the chinese/koreans to play on an NA server.
Or they could just block asian IP addresses like their other games and problem solved. |

an IP address block is way to easy to get around (proxy). anyone who followed TCOS can attest to that. Problem not solved! SS number would be the most effective IMO. Elder scrolls online: Voice your concerns here :http://www.zenimax.com/contact.php |

My prophecy is becoming more evident to you all each and every day, is it not? The European NCsoft devision has just been dropped due to reasons unforeseen. It is vaporware in Eupore now. What more convincing do you need that the U.S. won't face this inevitable future? |

It probably was meant to be released in the EU/US, but if it still is, I don't know what to think atm. If you only listen to NCsoft you would hear a resounding yes, but take into account the recent job cuts, the amount of delay this game has now, the recent financial data shows Q4, that's 1 year behind Korea. Would it still be profitable to release a game one year later? I have my doubts about a lot of Aion atm. I had since I saw the botting, but now for other reasons, the job cuts, delays, etc. |

Where is everyone pulling this spread from? Reason I ask is that this could easily be shopped and I would think a company would make something a little more "official" looking. It's a Jeep thing. . .

Oh please, Leonidus got his trolling a lucky break. Congrats. The job cuts have nothing to do with this game releasing or not. But please do continue to contribute to the fear mongering. The problem is not whether it releases or not but when.

It's not shopped, it's from the NCSoft site. www.ncsoft.net/global/ir/quarterly.aspx Top most link. I'm sure you can figure the download out, wasn't too complicated for me. NCsoft has always made these type of diagrams that don't really look professional, but it is official data. If it's correct is another question. |

Chart was pretty interesting, looks like they've pushed back US release by 6 months. Not surprising really, we've typcially been more of a rounding error on these types of games (i.e. Lineage 1, 2) in the past so its understandable they don't want to rush out and get it to us.

Leonidus, My company (which is a global company) is a very financially sound company wth very little debt. But since we "shrank" by 10% last quarter they are going to reduce spending and possibly 10% of the workforce. And in the midst of all that, they are STILL releasing products and making their product pipeline more robust. this is what companies do. Well, companies that are publicly traded. Aion is the next big product that they have that is ready to be released as they have nothing else that is ready (develpoment wise) to be shipped. they are not going to sit on a completed game that can bring them badly needed revenue this year. |

Look for the millionth time, Vapour ware is NOT What you are describing. Products with unspecified release dates or long development times that outwardly demonstrate regular, verifiable progress in production are not normally labelled vaporware. - Taken from wikipedia This game has demonstrated progress time and time again. Heck even Darkfall has shown progress, though some people will still demand that is all photo shop and lights and mirrors. Again, Vapour ware is something that doesn't exsist or will never exsist, For instance Duke Nukem forever, its been in production over 15 years and has shown NO evidence of development for years now. Find a new word to use, and use it appropriately, thats like saying smoking is drinking, they're too totally different things, they just both happen to involve your mouth. Seriously you make my head hurt |

Originally posted by Waterlily Lots of big companies took heavy hits. Look at ea. they suffered a horrible loss and axed alot of dev teams. Also from your thread you made , you shown to listen to 1 side of the stroy. a dev pissed off that he lost his job and now seeks vengence trying to diss , insult and predict what ncsoft next move is. Aion is a released title people are paying to play the product as we speak. By all means it is not vaporware. As for U.S.vaporware. OP who the f@#$ are you to come up and make a word and expect everyone to take your word for it that the word you just made up exsists and is purely legit? Stop making crap up. Look up for the real definition of it. There have been many mmos that have been axed that fall in the category of vaporware. Heck God and heroes has been completely halted with a chance it can be axed also. Watching Fanbois drop their soap in a prison full of desperate men. |

Only game I am looking forward to aside from Aion is TOR and who knows when that will release . . . I am about as patient as a five year old ADD child when it comes to game releases that I have played and enjoy. It's a Jeep thing. . .
