[ 2005.07.02 15:36:29 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote bows.
[ 2005.07.02 15:36:32 ] Lion El'Johnson > I would like to introduce Dianabolic.
[ 2005.07.02 15:36:38 ] Dianabolic > greetings Omir
[ 2005.07.02 15:36:42 ] Omir Sarikusa > Yes, the name is familiar to me.
[ 2005.07.02 15:37:09 ] Omir Sarikusa > Greetings, sir.
[ 2005.07.02 15:37:44 ] Omir Sarikusa > I am in a difficult position, so I do not have the luxury of mincing words. I will get right to the heart of the matter.
[ 2005.07.02 15:38:01 ] Lion El'Johnson > Excellent.
[ 2005.07.02 15:38:20 ] Lion El'Johnson > We want to know exactely what your intentions are in delve.
[ 2005.07.02 15:38:25 ] Omir Sarikusa > As you may be aware, our struggle with the ravenous beast known as the Amarr Empire is not going well.
[ 2005.07.02 15:39:07 ] Omir Sarikusa > They have excised parts of our infrastructure that are necessary to the sustenance of our war effort, and we have reports that they intend to go the step further.
[ 2005.07.02 15:39:10 ] Omir Sarikusa > We cannot let this happen.
[ 2005.07.02 15:40:03 ] Lion El'Johnson > so you is this going to be a request for help?
[ 2005.07.02 15:40:13 ] Lion El'Johnson > Or a favour of some kind?
[ 2005.07.02 15:40:22 ] Omir Sarikusa > As you are effectively the sovereign rulers of the Delve region, I come before you now to seek help.
[ 2005.07.02 15:40:36 ] Omir Sarikusa > An exchange of favors, if you will.
[ 2005.07.02 15:40:51 ] Lion El'Johnson > Sounds interesting. How can we help?
[ 2005.07.02 15:41:38 ] Omir Sarikusa > I'll be frank with you. We need to relocate.
[ 2005.07.02 15:42:51 ] Omir Sarikusa > And Delve has been deemed the most suitable location for us. Its proximity to the Empire is sufficient that we are still on the radar, yet far away enough that an incursion on the part of the Empire would give them logistical problems that can buy us t...
[ 2005.07.02 15:42:57 ] Omir Sarikusa > ... time to rebuild.
[ 2005.07.02 15:43:40 ] Lion El'Johnson > Yes but it would also put us in bad light with the Empire. Harbouring criminals is not taken lightly.
[ 2005.07.02 15:44:25 ] Omir Sarikusa > If I am not mistaken, there is no CONCORD sanction currently to your claim over Delve. It is a de facto claim.
[ 2005.07.02 15:44:38 ] Omir Sarikusa > No overt aid need take place on your behalf.
[ 2005.07.02 15:45:20 ] Omir Sarikusa > We just ask that you look the other way, so to speak. The diplomatic backlash from the Empire is not likely to be harsh. They have domestic problems of their own.
[ 2005.07.02 15:45:44 ] Omir Sarikusa > Things are stirring in the Amarr government. Things should get very interesting soon.
[ 2005.07.02 15:45:57 ] Lion El'Johnson > In what way interesting?
[ 2005.07.02 15:46:19 ] Omir Sarikusa > Have you followed recent news reports, Mr. El'Johnson?
[ 2005.07.02 15:46:28 ] Lion El'Johnson > A little.
[ 2005.07.02 15:47:15 ] Omir Sarikusa > There is a growing movement within the Empire's halls of government, a growing sense that the Empire is not playing its hands in the manner a true empire should.
[ 2005.07.02 15:48:10 ] Omir Sarikusa > The pieces on the board are moving into some very interesting places indeed. There have been changes in some fairly high-ranking administrative positions recently, both within the Ministry of War and the Imperial Chancellor's office.
[ 2005.07.02 15:48:31 ] Omir Sarikusa > To the untrained eye, it's just politics. If you know where to look, it's a narrative.
[ 2005.07.02 15:48:36 ] Omir Sarikusa > And I have a feeling this is just the prologue.
[ 2005.07.02 15:49:26 ] Lion El'Johnson > Are we talking about an internal coup? A revolution so to speak?
[ 2005.07.02 15:50:58 ] Omir Sarikusa > Mr. El'Johnson, if the narrative continues in the direction it seems to be going, what you suggest is subject matter for the first few pages.
[ 2005.07.02 15:51:08 ] Omir Sarikusa > As I said, very interesting indeed.
[ 2005.07.02 15:51:11 ] Omir Sarikusa > We shall have to wait and see.
[ 2005.07.02 15:51:33 ] Omir Sarikusa > My organization is a good friend to have. And a silent one.
[ 2005.07.02 15:51:55 ] Lion El'Johnson > How exactely can you be a friend to us?
[ 2005.07.02 15:53:09 ] Omir Sarikusa > Parties within CONCORD are aware that the beast of war is stirring, and conflict is on the horizon.
[ 2005.07.02 15:54:55 ] Omir Sarikusa > As capsuleers' ranks grow, so does your economic power.
[ 2005.07.02 15:55:02 ] Omir Sarikusa > The empires are becoming acutely aware of this.
[ 2005.07.02 15:55:22 ] Omir Sarikusa > The coming war you plan will be closely watched by all four empires.
[ 2005.07.02 15:56:08 ] Omir Sarikusa > They are realizing that left unchecked, your kind will inherit the world.
[ 2005.07.02 15:56:19 ] Lion El'Johnson > And what war would this be?
[ 2005.07.02 15:56:58 ] Omir Sarikusa > My intelligence network reaches far and wide, Mr. El'Johnson. We both know to which war I refer.
[ 2005.07.02 15:57:06 ] Omir Sarikusa > I am speaking of the coming battle between the north and the south.
[ 2005.07.02 15:57:44 ] Omir Sarikusa > What we can offer you is an ear to the ground.
[ 2005.07.02 15:58:14 ] Omir Sarikusa > When the empires get involved - and they will - you can count on us for accurate information. Piercing the veil, if you will.
[ 2005.07.02 15:58:41 ] Lion El'Johnson > Bearing with me one minute Omir, this convo is taking a turn we weren't expecting.
[ 2005.07.02 15:58:46 ] Omir Sarikusa > In return, we get to set up our new headquarters in two of Delve's constellations.
[ 2005.07.02 15:58:53 ] Omir Sarikusa > Take your time.
[ 2005.07.02 15:59:05 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote bows.
[ 2005.07.02 15:59:12 ] Lion El'Johnson > Mr Sarikusa, Mr Dimensionz
[ 2005.07.02 15:59:44 ] Omir Sarikusa > Greetings, sir.
[ 2005.07.02 15:59:57 ] dimensionZ > Hi
[ 2005.07.02 16:00:51 ] Lion El'Johnson > Which Constellations are we talking here?
[ 2005.07.02 16:02:11 ] Omir Sarikusa > XPJ1-6 and 6-UCYU.
[ 2005.07.02 16:04:23 ] Lion El'Johnson > What station facilities will you placing in these systems?
[ 2005.07.02 16:04:47 ] Omir Sarikusa > That will depend on our resources. Our resources will depend on how fast we can move from where we are now.
[ 2005.07.02 16:05:07 ] Omir Sarikusa > The Empire is planning more strikes, and we have reason to believe they will be crippling ones.
[ 2005.07.02 16:07:49 ] Omir Sarikusa > They are not likely to be bare-bones facilities, if that is what you are asking. There will be services rendered.
[ 2005.07.02 16:08:24 ] Lion El'Johnson > Are you prepared to adjust standings to the corporations that control this area?
[ 2005.07.02 16:08:28 ] Omir Sarikusa > Yes.
[ 2005.07.02 16:09:22 ] Omir Sarikusa > And, of course, on the face of it, it will appear as if you are our enemies.
[ 2005.07.02 16:09:55 ] Lion El'Johnson > That is acceptable.
[ 2005.07.02 16:10:20 ] Omir Sarikusa > To assuage the Empire, you may continue to attack our ships. My followers do not hesitate to jump into the mouth of doom for the greater cause.
[ 2005.07.02 16:11:14 ] Omir Sarikusa > Very well. I am glad to hear that.
[ 2005.07.02 16:11:19 ] Omir Sarikusa > A token of our appreciation shall be forthcoming.
[ 2005.07.02 16:11:38 ] Omir Sarikusa > Please send me a message listing the corporations who control the areas, so that official standings may be adjusted.
[ 2005.07.02 16:11:40 ] Lion El'Johnson > Please hold we are discussing.
[ 2005.07.02 16:11:47 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote nods.
[ 2005.07.02 16:12:21 ] Lion El'Johnson > Are you prepared to adjust standings to a few select individuals?
[ 2005.07.02 16:13:00 ] Omir Sarikusa > That would depend on your definition of "a few."
[ 2005.07.02 16:13:02 ] Omir Sarikusa > Please elaborate.
[ 2005.07.02 16:15:09 ] Dianabolic > 1 moment please omir, lions comms net seems to of dropped
[ 2005.07.02 16:15:36 ] Dianabolic > to save time, I shall continue.
[ 2005.07.02 16:16:08 ] Dianabolic > "a few", for us, would be less than 10
[ 2005.07.02 16:16:32 ] Dianabolic > we would need to find out whihc of our pilots would volunteer for the status of such obvious "supporters" of your cause
[ 2005.07.02 16:17:30 ] Omir Sarikusa > That is acceptable.
[ 2005.07.02 16:18:31 ] Dianabolic > to clarify, they would receive standings to your faction of +10?
[ 2005.07.02 16:18:55 ] Omir Sarikusa > 9.5.
[ 2005.07.02 16:19:00 ] Omir Sarikusa > [OOC: 10 isn't technically possible ]
[ 2005.07.02 16:19:10 ] Dianabolic > [rgr, ty ]
[ 2005.07.02 16:20:37 ] Lion El'Johnson > Sorry about that Mr. Omir. This gallente piece of rubbish comm system. Must get it fixed.
[ 2005.07.02 16:20:43 ] Dianabolic > ok, I shall defer to lion again, now he has returned
[ 2005.07.02 16:20:50 ] Dianabolic > I have brought him up to speed
[ 2005.07.02 16:20:52 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote nods.
[ 2005.07.02 16:21:56 ] Lion El'Johnson > What technology might you avail us with?
[ 2005.07.02 16:22:37 ] Lion El'Johnson > Obviously if the Ammar decide to take grief with us we could use a little edge if you know what i mean.
[ 2005.07.02 16:23:02 ] Omir Sarikusa > The chances of that happening are very very slim.
[ 2005.07.02 16:23:24 ] Omir Sarikusa > We can leave a standing offer to cross that bridge when we come to it.
[ 2005.07.02 16:23:30 ] Omir Sarikusa > I should say *if* and when.
[ 2005.07.02 16:24:11 ] Lion El'Johnson > Well we are more than capable of handling the Ammar empire but you can't blame us for trying.
[ 2005.07.02 16:24:39 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote gives a wry half-smile.
[ 2005.07.02 16:24:41 ] Omir Sarikusa > Of course not.
[ 2005.07.02 16:24:55 ] Lion El'Johnson > Exactly how many stations will you be placing in the said constellations?
[ 2005.07.02 16:26:57 ] Omir Sarikusa > Unclear at this moment. It will depend on our resources.
[ 2005.07.02 16:29:34 ] Lion El'Johnson > Do you intend to claim sovreignty with these stations?
[ 2005.07.02 16:29:59 ] Omir Sarikusa > That was the intention, yes.
[ 2005.07.02 16:34:07 ] Lion El'Johnson > Sorry about the wait we are discussing.
[ 2005.07.02 16:34:12 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote nods.
[ 2005.07.02 16:37:29 ] Lion El'Johnson > How will the stations treat pilots who are hostile to ourselves or the rest of BoB?
[ 2005.07.02 16:39:12 ] Omir Sarikusa > In accordance with their standings toward us. The link between us would be too overt were we to deny your enemies access.
[ 2005.07.02 16:40:17 ] Lion El'Johnson > Agreed.
[ 2005.07.02 16:40:36 ] Omir Sarikusa > Very well then. I will instruct my men to begin preparations for the move.
[ 2005.07.02 16:40:58 ] Omir Sarikusa > Please send me a message with the names of the parties whose standings are to be readjusted.
[ 2005.07.02 16:41:02 ] Lion El'Johnson > Could we have a contact name to which we can get in touch with you?
[ 2005.07.02 16:41:19 ] Omir Sarikusa > You may contact me personally.
[ 2005.07.02 16:41:29 ] Omir Sarikusa > And I would ask that you not speak with anyone else in my organization.
[ 2005.07.02 16:42:01 ] Omir Sarikusa > While I trust my Blood children, some things are better kept between as few people as possible.
[ 2005.07.02 16:43:33 ] Lion El'Johnson > please hold on a minute.
[ 2005.07.02 16:45:33 ] Blacklight > afternoon
[ 2005.07.02 16:45:41 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote bows.
[ 2005.07.02 16:45:51 ] Blacklight > /emote salutes
[ 2005.07.02 16:46:01 ] Lion El'Johnson > We have negotiated but all agreements must be signed by the CEO's so to speak.
[ 2005.07.02 16:46:09 ] Omir Sarikusa > Understandable.
[ 2005.07.02 16:46:33 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote bows.
[ 2005.07.02 16:46:43 ] SirMolle > Greetings.
[ 2005.07.02 16:46:59 ] SirMolle > Just wanted to bid you a welcome.
[ 2005.07.02 16:47:15 ] Omir Sarikusa > Thank you, sir.
[ 2005.07.02 16:47:41 ] SirMolle > May i inquire your official status so we know exactly who we have dealt with?
[ 2005.07.02 16:47:53 ] SirMolle > Ah
[ 2005.07.02 16:48:01 ] SirMolle > Getting that information already
[ 2005.07.02 16:48:07 ] SirMolle > So, disregard.
[ 2005.07.02 16:49:10 ] SirMolle > I hope that we will be seing a lot of you.
[ 2005.07.02 16:49:26 ] Omir Sarikusa > If things keep brewing the way they have been, you can count on it.
[ 2005.07.02 16:49:44 ] SirMolle > Oh they will, i trust your intel sources have fed you well on our plans
[ 2005.07.02 16:49:58 ] Omir Sarikusa > Not just your plans.
[ 2005.07.02 16:50:08 ] SirMolle > Oh?
[ 2005.07.02 16:50:39 ] SirMolle > We keep our secrets tight... unless we want them to get out.
[ 2005.07.02 16:50:40 ] Omir Sarikusa > I have ears in all four empires. My organization has survived through knowing what happens before it happens.
[ 2005.07.02 16:51:01 ] SirMolle > How does the empires stand to our plans?
[ 2005.07.02 16:51:13 ] Omir Sarikusa > Currently, rapt attention is the best way to describe it.
[ 2005.07.02 16:51:20 ] SirMolle > Will they be taking a hostile stance to us ?
[ 2005.07.02 16:51:30 ] SirMolle > Or which way is it leaning?
[ 2005.07.02 16:51:50 ] SirMolle > Since, lets face it.. the four will be challenged sooner or later.
[ 2005.07.02 16:52:39 ] Omir Sarikusa > Well, in the grander scheme, the events beginning with Dr. Hnolku's decampment from Zainou Headquarters have triggered a new era in relations between the empires.
[ 2005.07.02 16:52:49 ] Omir Sarikusa > Cautious hostility is the order of the day.
[ 2005.07.02 16:53:04 ] SirMolle > Suits us fine... anarchy is on the way with NWO
[ 2005.07.02 16:53:21 ] Omir Sarikusa > The Empires are aware of the growing stature of capsuleers as a whole. Trust me, they are taking note.
[ 2005.07.02 16:53:40 ] Omir Sarikusa > They will be seeking inroads before long - whether as exploiters or symbiotics, it's too early to tell.
[ 2005.07.02 16:53:59 ] SirMolle > For their own good... i would advice symbiotics.
[ 2005.07.02 16:54:21 ] Omir Sarikusa > You do not need to convince me. I've seen what you people can do.
[ 2005.07.02 16:54:32 ] SirMolle > First hand no doubt.
[ 2005.07.02 16:54:44 ] Omir Sarikusa > /emote smiles wryly.

2 things on this:

1 - Approach the Blood Raider rp'ers and let them live in Delve, for a fee.
2 - They're unfriendly with the serpentis, I believe it would be fair to assume that, despite FA saying they would "help the gallente federation" in the recent titan even, that serpentis will of been in touch with FA.

So they're taking both constellations then? Hmm .. means no fuel bonus on half the high-ends, so may change deployment plans for some of the other more 'common' types to compensate.

according to dian, i think twice,   in those interviews... bob didn't want the alliance name bob, they were just forced to take it, cuz ccp didn't want them to take the name cccp.

but, bob stole the name from existing entities.  whatever.

just looking at a lot of this stuff and wondering.  but hey, i guess everyone roleplayed and got standings instantly with npc pirate factions and other "stuff".

From the official forum (and I didn't know it myself, everyday one learns something):

1. CCP (as roleplayers) had meetings with all "alliances" before the alliance system was implemented in the game.

and

2. Blood Raiders moved to Delve after BoB did (they had some hisec system in the middle of empire earlier). CCP basically said to BoB that hey guys, we'll move in some NPC stuff in Delve, put systems under blood raider sov and put in some stations that anyone can dock in. Surely that is anti-BoB cheating... Why are you surprised to see that there were some negoiations about such a move?

So as you see, from an rp point of view, is like BoB let Blood Raiders live in Delve, for a fee (standings I think).

PD: this thread is terrible

Hey about those bpo it was a shame, even for most of them. But it's old news and all was already talked.

About account sharing, it breaks EULA but EVERYBODY does it. I don't do it myself, but I don't find it gamebreaking in any way. But hei, it's CCP's game.

But I was just talking about the Blood Raider role play stuff. And that was interesting knowing BoB was already there and rented space to Blood Raiders, wasn't it?

what about it, exactly, is rubbish tbqfh, is it just tl:dr for you and therefore you just spewed forth wow-worthy comments?

what EXACTLY is rubbish about it?

did someone force you to read it?

did it hurt you to know that you could roleplay via emails to kieron and get freighters and faction bpcs?

Many alliances have roleplayed with CCP...

The thing in this matter is that an NPC entity wanted BoB space. As you will do with any player alliance wanting to come to your territory, there are fees involved (and it's actually cool you can do it in rp way! no other game will do it...).

I don't know what you're trying to do. Maybe marketing damage or something like that. But look, all is in the archives!

So, have a nice journey!

I thought they named themselves KenZoku

yes, marketing damage, because it's not blatantly obvious from my postings here that i'm a player.

could you link those archives that show other alliances bartering with npcs and getting blueprints, standings, freighters, other corporations shut down so that the alliance could take said corp's name, etc?

please proof /  link.

welp, they had ccp close another corp (or two? one for name, one for initials?) down so they could take it.

but now, "we didn't want that alliance anyways" in true bob "i lost, again, but didn't want it anyways" fashion.

I don't have a whole to really say on the whole situation. Since it's so big it's gonna take some time for everything to come out and even then you will not know what is true or not. I am neither pro BoB or pro Goons, I really could care less about either of them. In fact here's my take on them: BoB = Elitist old school players who think they rulle all. Goons = a bunch of counter strike kiddies running around thinking they are badass and spouting shit all day long.

I can say this though. CCP has given corp names over to people when one has been inactive a while. I know this because someone now has one of my old corps name so this is not a BoB favourtism thing. The other thing regarding the handing out of BPs. CCP used to do a lot more role play shit way back in the day when it was the core Eve gamers that kept Eve going in those lean years. BoB was not the only ones to receive things like this but BoB is the one everybody knows. CCP really interacted with the big RP corps and the true power corps of the time. They had to stop doing that because of people like Cosy here who would whine and cry favourtism so Eve lost some of its flavour due to cry baby assholes. CCP will NOT do a rollback and anyone who thinks the will or even should have no idea how CCP thinks. This will be left alone and it will be another page in the history of Eve.

So far as I can tell now it's just a bunch of pissy little shit heads whining and the Goons are claiming total victory but is going no where. The players that really made BoB know how to play and will keep going and be just as big as ever.

I just wonder how many of you were actually playing the game back then and know how the game worked and how much more involved in the players CCP was. CCP had to jump start a lot of shit back then to get things the way they are now.

"back then" being the latter part of 2005/early 2006?  that's not so far back.  goons gained mass numbers early 2006.

but like i said, anyone have those archive links that show non-bobs getting "stuffs"?

Probably not since no one cares about anyone else besides BoB.

But like I said, I am not gonna talk about things I don't know. I will say things about what I do know however and right now it's like a feeding frenzy for all the CCP and BoB haters out there. BoB is down and people want to get their cheap shots in and all the CCP haters are crawling out of the woodwork claiming another BoB / dev cheat.

A couple of weeks and this will all be done with til the next thing to happen.

Sir, you fail at sov.

Best explanation :

The pos's have been anchored with non-contested sov, so when the alliance was recreated there was no need to re-calulate sov. The first dt after kenzoku towers were tagged w/ the new alliance name they automitcally get sov one. This isn't a bug or miscalculation, it's how it works.

Its not a bug, its not an exploit, its exactly how its always worked. The knowledgebase is wrong, thats been known for a long time.

this is funny part "The knowledgebase is wrong" that is official content made by CCP is like "the holy bible" i am curious what CCP will say about that  anyway CCP have to lose from this.

You might want to go get new marching orders from Kugu, unless your current orders are "show everyone how dumb you are".

Post in the EVE-O forums asking about the Guristas Dreads helping with POS sieges.  BoB getting some BPCs and standings (which according to posts from lord waratron, don't work due to some bug with setting standings) in return for there being an untouchable NPC clump of space in the middle of their region, still sounds like a craptastic deal to me.  Before people cried about events, stuff like this used to happen in 0.0, and BoB isn't the only alliance to have dealings with the pirate factions.

Altho from what I'd veen in their forums, they do seem to have had one of the crappier deals "Have a few billion ISK worth of stuff in return for untouchable bases that invaders can work from".

This is actually pretty cool.  Ryzom had a similar roleplay initiative from its devs.  If I had known EvE had this I would have joined years ago.

this is the third time in this thread i am asking for links, proof, something about "people other than bob" that have done the quoted... you even replied to a post i made asking about this... and somehow totally didn't reply to the questions you quoted.

so, what conclusion i must come to is that none of you have any links, archives, whatever, of anyone OTHER than bob doing this stuff.

thanks, that's all i was asking.  "i heard some other guy did this" isn't what i'm asking for, and i really am typing in english.

Sorry but if you want proof, go get it yourself instead of being lazy and crying foul.  Anyone whose played for a few years and lived north with G/IRON/NBSI, or knew them, knows full well about when Guristas (NPC) dreads helped siege an alliance's towers back when dreads were less comon than motherships are now.

There's no 'i heard about this', I know for a fact this happened.  Just as I know for a fact a serpentis admiral stole a Nyx, was trying to escape with it, got killed by Goonswarm en-route, and players then turned on the CONCORD guys they were gathering with in Stacmon.  Go look deeper into the events section of EVE's forums, that area existed originally for AURORA stuff like what you want proof of.
