Do you guys believe that DF will be completely chaotic, humans killing humans, orcs killing orcs etc.  Or do you think it is better if the humans work together to kill the orcs?

I understand the beauty of a free and open PVP world, but I don't understand the reason for killing the people that are part of your race.  It would seem that it would be more profitable to work together then to work against each other.

What are your opinions?

well, since we have very little knwoledge of those in beta or who is actually playing, i am gonna go by the darkfall official forums..........

This is what I hope:

Races in general will team together and fight each other, and live under the largest guilds empires. Obviously some people will kill people of the same race and will be frowned down upon, and considered outlaws, and maybe the same thing for people who choose to be pirates. I mean each place can set up their own laws so it depends on the area.

Realistically though, I think there will be quite a few people if they see no risk in it, running around whacking the little noobs. Or it'll just be a big free for all all the time, i dunno.

Don't think your the right type of player for darkfall or any ffa pvp game for that matter , just asking and dont understanding the question makes you the typical .. why did he kill me , i was just looking at the flowers kind of person. 

and for real no one cares what kind of race you are , your in my way i felt like killing you, ooh and that sword of yours looks shiny.

See that was the exact response I was expecting.  You don't know or understand what type of gamer I am. Because I feel that people should work together, and fight against a common foe doesn't mean this game isn't for me. I'm sure there will be more intelligent people out there that can comprehend this idea.  If you go rogue and start killing your own race your going to get killed by someone bigger and better then you, and they are going to have no consequences, like turning grey/red, like you are for being a pk.

I think the whole point of this game is that you can choose however you want to play. You can go on a murderous rampage, follow the rules, not even take part in killing and become  a rich merchant, become an explorer, help build an empire. It's supposed to be a very realistic representation of a real life back in the what would you call it, medieval times?

What masses?  This game has 3 supporters left.  2 of which live in homes for the mentally handicaped.  And those homes don't allow violent video games.

Ok i may have been a bit harsh , but no one will care about your race , i understand where your coming from ( wow , good game , but its not ffa pvp )  , everyone you meet will either try to kill you or make you a friend , but you will never be safe in a ffa pvp game. and again sorry to reiterate this , NO ONE WILL CARE WHAT THE CRAP RACE YOU ARE!.

edit: The faction you know from wow or any of those games will be replaced with guilds and your friends , just be aware anyone you meet which isnt a friend is  a potential enemy as it should be , dont let that keep you away , but dont except anyone to not kill you because your the same race etc.

Heh.  I have to say, I've never associated Darkfall with the term "the masses" before.

Niche, targeted audience, hardcore pvp'ers, gankers, griefers, former UO players, these come to mind when discussing DF.

But 'the masses?'   No, just not seeing that.

That makes more sense, there will be gankers, and there will be friends.  I guess we will have to see how the game pan's out. I am just hoping that it is not total and complete gank fest.  And when I said "masses" I meant all the people involved in playing the game. 

It won't be played by the masses thankfully.

All that's needed for Darkfall to be a success is one populated server world of 20k. That is all I require.

Faction division will largely be ignored.  Exploits for avoiding and/or abusing rogue flagging will be the norm.
