Well WoW is pretty much dead, my raiding guild sees no point in continuing to play it as the raids are stale and the content is too easy / too boring and the PVP is totally unbalanced garbage now (most of us did a lot of arena in tbc)

My guild of ~ 60 people and another large raiding guild from our server in the EU are moving to WAR as the PVP from what little I've done with mates is awesome and we want to raid a capital city and get phat legendary lootz :D

Problem is we're having real trouble deciding between Order and Destruction, mainly because some $£*%s want to roll chaos tanks but most people want to go Order because overall people want to play dwarves and humans (we were alliance in WoW, cleared Sartharion 3 drakes over a month ago)

I need compelling arguments that show that Destruction is the wrong choice and Order is the way to go. Help!

I'd prefer to hear from players of WAR rather than wow fanbois trolling the WAR forum and for your info most of my guild is coming, they're not deleting their WoW chars but we're gonna play WAR instead so no need to troll my post ty

Ignore the WoW fanboi, go destruction, most Greenskin quests and zones are priceless. WAAAGHH!!

WoW is not dead and wont be for years. Hell my server (laughing skull) still gets insane queues.

I am no longer  a fan of WoW. Ive been playing it since release and now play it as side game next to Vanguard, and only to pass time until Darkfall.

WAR on the other hand is dead, at least compared to WoW. It lost sooo many people after the first month and people arent flocking back. The pvp is just as stale and repetitive as WoWs instance grind. And the pve is even worse.

Destruction is way better though. When I played Destruction always won, well almost.

I would look at some character builders site and determine the best characters for your play style. My friend and I play on both side on two different servers. Order I prefer the Knight over the tanks in Choas. I prefer the squig over the shadowwarrior on destruction. You  just need to spend some time either playing the classes or researching the traits/abilities they get later.

Well we discussed it a lot and I really want to play a witch hunter (I played a rogue in wow) - and the only equivalent with stealth on Destruction can only be female (and I could never roll a female toon) so I'm dead-set on going Order or I'd have to find a new class.

Why is everyone saying Destruction is better :(

 Mate hes saying wow is dead refering to the end-game content, its easy, boring, and theres alot less to do than before, hes not refering to player numbers. There will always be millions of wow players, cuz there will always be kids and grown ups drooling for easy epixxxxx *drooolllll*

Besides if WAR is dead what are u doing here? Its fantastic how the single word "WoW" on the subject brings so many fanboys here, lol. Mate WoW forums are that way ----->    

I personally find the idea of any serious raiding guild packing up and moving to WAR laughable, might as well wrap up the guild right there as it'll never stand.

Not to mention most serious raiding guild are eagerly awaiting Ulduar right now. You know, the next Dungeon on the ladder ;) But then any serious raiding guild would know that and that Blizzard is time releasing these these after this expansion rather than tossing them all out at once.

Let's check back in a year and see how "dead" WoW is :)

In a year, all those "serious" guilds will be farming Ulduar day after day after day after day after week and after week. Until the next one comes and repeat the cycle, cuz for hardcore guilds theres just one raids every 6 months, and alot easier than before.

Destruction is a zerg of people that seem to want to PvP a lot.  The order folks seem to favor the little bit of PvE there is, so it seems as though there are less of them PvPing.  However, they seem more organized, maybe because they have less player to try and control.  On my server (Monolith) we have the largest imbalance of about 8% more Destro than Order, and everything in most tiers is in it's natural state when it's controlled by Destruction.  We have a hard time organizing when the order comes out to play, and makes for a lot of fun.  Roll destruction, screw your stealth, and go Marauder.  Think combat rogue - Stealth + Rape ability.  You'll see a healer far away, seemingly unreachable...Until you fetch that bastard and bring him to you :)

I didn't say it was my cup of tea but no serious raiding guild(PvE) is quitting right before the challenge they supposedly want is released back in the game only to move to a PvP game with "Issues" right now. Unless you think the idea of farming wards is such an amazing draw for them :)

Most PvE guilds I've seen would fall apart in a PvP environment. If this statement is somehow in any way true he can bet it'll happen to him, and that's just ignoring the idea that people in the guild may not like the game to begin with and thus leave the guild as well  :)

go order there is too many ppl playing destro and if your guild goes order it might balance it a little more on whatever server you play on

Mind you *if* there's any truth to the OP I would *highly* recommend, *highly* recommend doing deep research on what server you're going to and what side. Definitely pick the largest one. PT's crazy popular, DC seems popular too. Monolith... not recommended. Dig up some threads on the VNboards on Monolith :)

You must not be in a high end raiding guild. Most of us have been bored for 2 months now, Sart 3 drakes only lasts so long.

Unless Ulduar is as hard as Sunwell and comes out next week, it's not worth hanging around. We're not dumb, the raids aren't going to suddenly go from Sart level (which is still too easy) to Sunwell level, which is what real raiding guilds want.

We plan to make a guild-only raid group and roam the lands killing everyone in WAR. We're all good players with a lot of experience and coordination, and we're bringing our skills into a game that requires them.

Clearly you're just another WoW fanboi who doesn't play WoW at top level but that's fine, most players in WoW are not very good raiders :)

EU servers, we're thinking Karak Norn as some of our officers already play there. They are willing to reroll either side though, they were just a small group and they encouraged us all to try out WAR.

Look, so many WoW fanbois seem to scan this forum all the time and appear in seconds, I'm just saying that WE - MY GUILD (and some friends in another guild) - are BORED OF WOW

Now we just have to decide which faction of WAR we want to be in, because that IS going to matter in the long run. Many of our players are PVEers, sure, that's normal in a raiding guild, but most of us (70%) also did 2k+ arena and we want PVP

The PVP in WoW is broken, do you guys even play WoW these days? The PVP is worse than ever before.

We are coming to WAR for PVP mainly, and some PVE on the side. We're going to bring guild tactics and vent coordination and fight.

BUT FOR WHICH SIDE IS THE QUESTION

I find it odd that your entire guild is tired of WoW and in turn wants to move to WAR. I found WAR to be just a less polished, more boring, clunkier and grindier version of WoW. If you are tired of WoW,  you will tire of WAR very quickly.

it all depends on the server you go too.  if you want a challange find a server where one side or the other is lower.  on my server badlands it seems balanced.  i will say nothing scares destro more then a little dwarven girl with a shield.
