At least in EQ, the mob spawns in one place but if it starts wandering good luck finding a route it takes. and BTW captain obvious, the non-mmo players piss a lot of us hardcore gamers off with their stupid trade chat bullshit and their knowledge of nothing but Halo. EQ lost a lot of players to wow, sure. Wow lost a lot of players to AOC and WAR as well. WoW lost a lot of players when wrath launched. If everquest truly sucked as bad as it did, according to you, i doubt it would be going on ten....count then TEN years and still producing expansions and new raid content that isnt repeats of retarded fights you did a year ago. I mean really, 10-25 man naxx? COME ON! Let me just redo the same friggen fights i did back when they were hard. They didnt even change the zone almost at all, all they did was update the graphics, tweak the fights, and change the dmg and hp output. WOW, so hard. GO BLIZZARD! |

I don't want to sift through the thread to find what's already been said, so I'll say from experience. Hacking doesn't really matter much in EQ unless you're PvPing. If MacroQuest is still around, then hacking in PvP is probably still running rampant. Teleports, insta-gates, insta-camps, map hacks to show where everyone was, or where all the mobs were.. etc.. I guess that could affect PvE to an extent, but most of the time it probably won't hinder your ability to play the game properly. That said, PvE hackers are probably far and between, where as a lot of people hack on the PvP server. I won't lie, I've hacked in EQ before (on Rallos Zek, and then Zek when they merged), but that was because it was a game I really didn't care about. I was just there to kill people, not to actually play the game because I dislike raiding styles of gameplay. Haven't played the game in a couple years though, so whatever. |

The topic is about cheating, now answer this, NAME A PLAYER SOE HAS BANNED FOR CHEATING! YOU CAN'T CAN YOU! BECAUSE THEY DON"T BAN IS WHY. THEY HAVE SO FEW RETARDS PLAYING THEIR CRAPPY GAME THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO. TWO PEOPLE OUT OF A WHOLE LIKE 8 POSTERS ADMITTING TO CHEATING AND THEY GOT NO OR MINOR PUNISHMENT! 2 out of 8 is way to many for a cheating post. You aren't even close to being hardcore poser, hardcore players play PvP, PVE is to easy in every game, the only PVE game remotely close is Diablo 2 hardcore. Furor was hardcore and so was Thott, they work for and play Blizzards MASTERPIECE not the turd EQ. If you have any questions please ask. I have moved on to WoW from eq and no longer have any desire to play a dead game. Thank you. (posted by another selling his account in EQ1) |

I know quite a few people who were banned for Macroquesting. In fact, i could list off about 5 names right now of people that i know PERSONALLY that got banned for doing it, but i wont because it wont make any difference. Me being a hardcore poser? PLEASE. Oldschool everquest WAS hardcore. Most people found it stupid that you had to wait for 45 minutes to catch a boat, me, i LOVED it. Running for hours to get to another city. The realism blew my mind. Getting you body stuck at the bottom of a dungeon and KNOWING that you couldnt sleep until you got it back or you might risk losing all your gear. THATS hardcore. Not walking 5 minutes, grabbing a flight path, and doing shit the easy way. And you have obviously never been into Sol"terrace (forgive my spelling if its wrong) if you dont think pve in everquest was hardcore. The reason people blew through the prog server is because they had already farmed that stuff for months upon release. Immagine if blizzard did a prog server, people would be back into wrath in a matter of a month or two, pending that they still had attunments removed. |

It''s one thing to have a opinion, but enforcing one is unconstitutional. |
