Given the reprots coming in now and the progress they're seemingly having, I wouldn't mind another delay at all (and yes, there would be some bullshit excuse once again, like with every company in the referring phase).

An in all honesty, chances are good there will be one. Prepare for more doom even...it's a blessing to have some other stuff to do in life while waiting.

..It could be in a worse state that DnL was if/when Darkfall actually launches.

- So until Darkfall launches, I'd say trying to compare it to any game that is actually out and running is absurd. Once Darkfall actually launches, then and only then should we compare it to DnL, Warhammer Online, WoW etc.

But hell, what do I know? Go ahead and glorify Darkfall as the "greatest mmo ever" for all I care, heh. Keep trashing games like Warhammer Online and trashing developers like Mythic Entertainment. I'm sure that developers like Blizzard and Turbine are shaking in their boots at the greatness that Aventurine will expose to all the world soon. {laff}

It could be or it could be better. The sure thing is if it does what DnL did it won't be any better than it is at this moment. Complaining about delays is useless. Delays indicate a game isn't ready for launch, nothing else.

this, what's best for the game is rarely what the fans want short-term. See Vangaurd, one of the public reasons they released too early is b/c they said "the fans have waited long enough" and they felt some kind of responsibility to not delay it any further. I mean they SHOULD feel the responsibility to select realistic dates and do their best to stick to them.... but never rush the game b/c the fanbase is crying for it. (note that was only 1 reason why vangaurd released early, there were many others)

Nearly all beta leaks are positive, save 1, and that one guy seemed like he didn't like the idea of Darkfall in the first place (he was wondering where all the quests were...), confirming that DF invited both fanbois AND trolls (too bad there aren't levelheaded ppl D: ). I would rather the game release on feb 25th so the devs still can hold on to SOME credibility, but if it aint ready, it aint ready (i say that they should fire whoever is making these retarded release dates, and clause, if they miss it AGAIN (DF 03 anyone?))

There's just a few of the LIES (besides the lies last summer of a "definite release by end of 2008" from Mr Tasos, a Jan 22 release date, and Tasos stating himself on 12/5/08 that "Darkfall is ready for release right NOW". It's more then obvious that Darkfall was not totally ready for release on 12/05/08 if it got delayed and couldn't release on 1/22/09.

Tasos sead Darkfall was finished and in good state to go gold in dec 2008, then they changed thier mind til 22 of jan.

But if the game was good to play back in late 2008 how come they still implenting key features  NOW when the game supposed to be ready acording to tasos in december 2008?

They aren't creating new systems ,they are merely testing individual pieces before running it all and having to mill through complete and compounded issues. Most devs this late i nthe game don't test the "nuts and bolts" that is why this is confusing to most people.
