its been 2+ days sure...but the client is at least 8 gigs and they are downloading from a crappy site (10kb/s was the slowest i heard and 150kb/s was the quickest)
so yeah 2 days have come and gone and most of it has been downloading MMO wish list: -Changeable worlds |

i remember on forumfall there was a poll which nearly 70% said they wanted a pre order but once they announced they will have one all the sheep follow everyone else complaining about it they have already 30mil into the game... you think pre orders are going to get all there money back and then some which will help them "make a better game"

There are no videos because everyone who has ever posted a screenshot has been caught and removed from the beta. There are numbers and such imbedded in the client itself as a way of ID'ing someone. I think only 1 or 2 screenshots have figured out what exactly to blur out so they don't get caught. |

oh come now, yes there is a game and a client. The only thing they should have done was upload the client to fileplanet / filefront / gamershell and should have done it like 1 week before Jan 22. Because saying trial will start on Jan22 is a little misleading when using a slow azz bittorrent. Listen "MATE", IF the beta testers are so stupid to dont know what watermark is or any picture CID is, THEY COULD SHARE the game client, i am sure there are a lot of peoples who would be able to extract everything they wanted from the game all over the internet. The problem is, THERE IS NO GAME CLIENT. The pics you see as "leaked" are not so leaked, i suspect even Aventurine employers responsable for that, because ALL SO CALLED LEAKES tell us ONLY BEATUFULL things. |

Actually, is possible. I will explain you how and i will explain why that "screenshot protection" theories fails and are prety cheap. You log into the game -> server identify you -> send you back another ID to track you. When you are using internal screenshot function(if there is any) there are 2 choises to apply the tracking ID in picture: - watermark ( can be removed in 2 seconds) - random position in picture or header(if save format is somethin who can support that) with lets say "Marker+trackerID" ( can be removed instantly, every JPG compression remove any original info from pic). If the tracker ID is put in other pictures blocks that even more lame because when you import and export from any other tool/different format that will gone. If you are using an external tool to capture the picrture is possible to get only watermark (again, can be removed in less that 2 second). Now, honestly, THERE IS NO WAY how to protect an used ID with a screenshot With out destroying lots of things from the image. Thats the most lame thing i have hard on that forum in defense of DF. Lets say, you have no idea how to remove the watermark or to remove the "hidded" ID from picture, i am sure there are zillions of peoples on internet who can make that for you, you just have to ask. Conclusion: there are no leaks except "official leaks". |
