but I log in today and "Darkfall release delayed" was thrown in my face. I have officially lost all hope in the game and will not be playing it ever. |

Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started. |

I think there are a lot of new followers of darkfall. This kind of thing has been going on for 7 years. They were supposedly a month or two away from launching the game in 2002, 2005 and 2006. Expect the following comment to be made around the middle of February " Due to the nature of the game, and the fact that we want our players to have the best service available, we are going to delay the launch of Darkfall until we have the proper infrastructure in place". Then they will go silent for about 6 months.. all the fanboys will leave, and they will start hyping their game from scratch with a brand new set of 'fanboys' who won't know the history behind the game. It's happened 3 times already with Darkfall. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

oops, you can't say that's wrong.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please? |

A few years? It's been almost a decade since the first announcements in 2001. |

lol, you are certainly grasping at straws. It was the same game with the same premise. Strawberry flavored shit is still shit no matter how pretty it looks in the package. |

I know I have seen it in these forums, I just cannot find it now. It was not from Tasos I think. |

lol, you are certainly grasping at straws. It was the same game with the same premise. Strawberry flavored shit is still shit no matter how pretty it looks in the package. hey not my problem you dont belive the facts Found it myself: If you click on the "What is razorwax?" question (1.3) it will give you the history of Razorwax, Aventurine and Darkfall. 2. Here is a detailed article at WarCry about the history of the game up to the point the article was written (2007): http://www.warcry.com/articles/view/editorials/3222-Surlys-Column-State-of-the-Game-Darkfall-Razorwax-and-Aventurine-Heres-the-Rub 3. Here is an interview from 2003 at GameBanshee: http://www.gamebanshee.com/interviews/darkfall2-1.php This is a direct quote from the interview: "GB: It's been nearly two years since we talked to you last, so can you give us a quick summary of where you stand in the development of Darkfall? Claus: We have come a long way since the first Gamebanshee interview. Back then we had the four guys in a basement, now we have a team of 20 people working hard on finishing the game. We also moved country, from a basement in Oslo, Norway to modern offices close to the Olympic stadium in Athens, Greece. We all have a nice tan now. Darkfall is entering closed beta testing in September this year. The closed beta is fully playable, with most core features implemented. We will be adding features and content during closed beta, while we gear up for the next beta stages.
Claus: Very little has changed. We have stayed true to the original design, and kept almost all of the features promised when we launched the Darkfall site two years ago. We sadly had to remove some popular features such as flying mounts, for reasons having to do with game balance issues related to sieges, and deformable terrain, due to possible latency issues. We have tried to make up for it by adding more content than originally planned. We'll be looking at possibly implementing these features at a later date. " (Emphasis in red and is mine). 4. Here is an interview at IGnVault in 2005: http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/671/671666p1.html Direct quote again: "Jonric: Still looking at the past year or so, what are the notable improvements and additions you've made to Darkfall? Claus Grovdal: From a design point of view, nothing notable has changed from the main parameters. Last year has been all about adding content plus refining and tweaking various aspects of the game." (Emphasis in red and mine again). -----
Do you see a trend here? Nothing much changed from the original game announcec by Razorwax back in 2001. Nothing can be clearer and more obvious. |

Fans and supporters believe in the true real proper special secret facts about Darkfall, the ones you have look for yourself because they wont show them and their only in their imaginations so you cant hurt them, these are the obvious clear truths no matter what you say or happens. Not these other type of irrelevant pointless "facts" you posted you troll hater, with no life who spends hundreds of hours "digging" for pointless irrelevant things. |

Couldn't agree with you more! These statements are from the DEVS themselves. What more proof would you want? Yet, downtoearth, Aragon and a few others CONSTANTLY tell us the game was completely trashed and rewritten under Aventurine. We've read these posts hundreds of times already! It's one thing to want something badly enough to lie to yourself about it. It's another to believe your own lies. |

Don't worry. The fanbots will declare that particular dev to "not know anything and is not an official spokesman for the games development. Tasos has not confirmed what that dev said, so it is false until Tasos says otherwise." 'Cause, you know, the Darkfall fanbots have gotten so damn good at spin they could have saved President Bush' image if they'd focused their efforts. |

Yep, that's the same good ol' Claus. And you can't get a much better source. Glad you found that stuff, templarga. Gonna make some fanbot arguments extremely short in the future.
Edit: You should have highlighted the "closed beta is fully playable with most core features in". Hmmm, seems things really DON'T change, eh? |

Who is this Claus person anyway?, I've never even heard of him so I don't think he's that important. |
