Could´nt find a hardware section of darkfall, so il make a run for it here: ppl´s specs before launch Myself: Quadro 2.4 gherhz. ati radeon 4850. 4 gigs of ram
:what ppl intend to get for DF..
and last: Help!!!: I just bought a new pc, i should run most games in max but i cant even play age of empires 3 with my girlfriend! ( which i intend to introduce to the mmo world when DF launches) it keeps making weird graphics issues, like alot of smal squares multiplying then making a "memory leak, dump" afterwards...¤blue screen off death" in relation to Darkfall, this scares me, i´ve never had this issue before, and i want it gone before darkfall... someone, anyone who knows anything, please grant advice or help, i´ve even been to the shop, they say they cant help... eternally gratefull i shall be... |

At one point Tasos said the game would run on a low end computer... I think he specifically mentioned the GeForce 4, but I could be wrong about that. For your other problem, you might have better luck posting in the General Discussion/Hardware section. |

Your video card is either messed up or overheating or both.

I was kind of thinking it was a low end video card, because when I first played AoE III on my old computer (which had a sucky card) I had the same problem. Also, if it was an heat problem, I would expect him to be able to play the game for a while before anything went wrong. |

It also depends on the general temperature of the case and the ambient temperature of the room. It might be a crappy video card although I'm not sure if that would cause a BSoD. Edit: he has a ATI 4850 video card. He should be able to run AoE flawlessly.

The ATI 4850 is not a low-end card. I use one myself and can run vanguard,fallout-3 and many other games full out. I have tryed out some older games with the 4850 card and some of them just dont seem to like the card. Make sure you have the game fully patched and the latest ati video card drivers. Even thou it may be a new computer does not mean newest drivers are installed. You can get them at www.ati.com Hope this helps. |

Anyways, i think this forum isn't the best place to seek help, seriously dude... especially with the low ammount of information you gave us. My advice - make a screenshot of the graphic issues, post it, and write down the blue screen. I mean the most important part - the error thingy, it looks like 0x0000... etc.etc. Then you can google the error and find a solution... Use the power of google, you seriously seem like you think that mmorpg.com is the only computer-related website ! That's just sad... |
